Went to Harwell Ford in Huddersfield and got fobbed off. Phoned Nectar/Ford and was told that Harwell Ford seem to fob people off.

I went to a different Ford dealer and got the points without having to take the test drvie :j

Arrived at Ford, St.Albans armed with nectar card, driving licence, and coupon. Met by a lovely receptionist and asked to wait for 5 mins as all sales men were busy and then met by a crabby old sales woman. Wouldnt have any of it!

I told her i was genuinely interested in updating my Fiesta (which I had bought at that garage new 5 years ago) to a Focus 1.6 and asked if they would trade in mine. I mentioned I also happened to have the voucher and perhaps she could just put it through or if not I would love to test drive the Focus....she then said I wouldnt be able to do this until at least next week and then the offer was off!

I said hang on look I am thinking of spending £10K with you, and you are sending me away.....I said perhaps Vauxhall next door showroom could fit me in to talk about selling me a car. She said she would phone if she got a vacancy! Im not holding my breath.

The offer is for booking a test drive this week it doesn't say anything about actually taking the test drive this week. I think you have been fobbed off. I would try again or phone the main Ford office and explain how you have been treated. I think someone else has already done this already on the thread.

Don't give up at the first hurdle you are as entitled to the points as everyone else. If they didn'y want anyone to take up the offer then why put it on in the first place.

    Good luck

Thats correct. My OH and I went. I test drove Mr Hendy's ST (that was fuuuuun!). My OH booked one for next week in a fiesta - both got points :)

So dont need to take drive this week, no.

Didnt get a reciept tho! Doh! Hope it will be ok...
Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:

I think you have had a narrow escape with this garage. I sat through an hours spiel from a young salespr@t at the Ford garage I took my voucher to. At the end of it he photocopied my nectar card & driving licence, and took the voucher away. I have no idea if the points were put on or not - I wasn't offered a receipt. Needless to say I won't recommend that garage and I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
The very fact that some of the Ford garages are simply putting the points on and giving a receipt for them speaks volumes. Those that have received this gesture without needing to listen to all the sales !!!!!! etc. are more likely to return to the garage when the time comes to replace their car. Well, in my opinion at least.

'Crabby old woman' called back, now 'Nice crabby old woman' booked me in for tomorrow and assured me I would get the points.
She actually apologised and said they were snowed under due to offer, and tomorrow was 'Nectar Day'

    I Like Ford again.:)

........Now what can I spend that £50 of Nectar points on....:j

Really pleased to hear that. If you convert your points to Adams vouchers you get £100 to spend. :j

I had my test drive today which was fun, very nice (young and gorgeous) salesman gave me my points and reciepts. He did 2 lots of 5000 for some reason. I just have to wait and see how long it takes for Nectar to credit them now.

Evans Halshaw at Milton Keynes just added the points to my nectar card without a test drive today. No appointment just walked in off the street no probs at all. Hubbie is looking to buy a Galaxy though at some stage!
