I've called the dealership twice already. The sales guy who served me has now left the company. Any ideas how I can escalate this to? It is the sales manager that should be calling me.

Moral of this tale is quite clear - buy Vauxhall. Or Renault, Volvo, Peugeot, VW, Skoda, Citroen, Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Proton..... you have plenty of choice and Ford doesn't have to be one of them.
The question I always ask when things like this happen is how would the dealer treat you if you had a warranty claim? Would they pass you on to Ford, who would pass you on to the warranty insurer, who would pass you back to the dealer, etc.

  • Hi i have had issues too. Basically the are refusing to give me the points as it would cost them too much money.

Im mailing my local BBC radio consumer program to see if theres anything they can do for me.

My Fiesta is just a year old. I had to wait 6 weeks for them to sort out a Warranty claim I'd made. (A CD was stuck in the CD player. The dealership couldn't get the CD out, and ordered a new CD Player. I waited and waited for the new one, and became aware that if I'd been to their Parts Dept. I could, no doubt, buy one over the counter). I was disgusted with them. When this Nectar promotion came out, I called into that same Ford dealership expecting to simply have the 20,000 points added to my card. But no, I had to sit through a solid hour or so of this Sales Prat going on about the pro's of chopping my car in for a brand new Ford. As I said, my Fiesta, at that time wasn't even a year old. Buy a new Ford? Never again!
I even had to chase that dealership up for my nectar points over the following weeks.

I suggest you contact Trading Standards and see if there's anything they can do about fraudulent practices i.e. promise of great gift if you have a demo, then tell you to get stuffed when they realise you aren't intending to purchase.
If this was a timeshare operation that acted like this both TS and Watchdog would be onto them like a ton of bricks.

  • I kept on to them and finally my 10,000 points have been credited.

    Success at last.
