 My 28 days are up - and guess what...no points added
I will ring the Ford UK Number tomorrow. I made a note of the date and time I took the Test Drive and the Salesman's name as I had a feeling this would happen

My 28 days were up last week and I phoned Nectar on Friday, who took my details and passed me through to Ford who said they would look into it.

Annoyingly, I was told it could take up to 28 days!

No points for me either... went on 17th April... Bristol Street Birmingham, had my photocopies of license and nectar card done... called Nectar 2 days later expressing my doubt that the sales person would put the points on...

Called Bristol street and spoke to the sales person twice in last 2 weeks, no points added on, no calls back as promised.... now nectar neither ford want to know...

absolute B*****ks pardon my choice of unsusal language!

Why put a promotion forward if you do not want to honour it!

Makes you think if they can't even manage the simple task of adding points onto a card what chance have you got of them looking after you when you've purchased a car from them worth thousands.

Just wondering if there is anyone who works for FORD in this forum that can shed some light on the matter like was there an internal memo advising salesmen to refuse certain people or is it case that the salesmen are really slack and couldn't be bothered to do their job?

One thing is for sure I will think twice before getting a Ford.

I have had my nectar points credited to my account but my son took the test drive and handed in the voucher and his haven`t been added. I rang the manager of the ford dealer where he took the test and he said he would look into it and ring me back. I waited four days and he did`nt ring back so I called Ford Uk and they said they would look into it. Still no joy so I rang the dealer back again and he said he would ring and sort it out.

I have just rang Ford Uk and they said they now have my sons details and the points will be credited to the account within the next 2 weeks.
They said that there is a cut off point for adding points for this promotion but
he will definately get the points.

Just checked my account and the points had finally been added - I had given up hope especially as I had used my OH's card (same account though) as had mislaid mine. I am overjoyed and hope everyone who is owed points gets theres at some point.

Extremely frustrating for you. This has happened to me in the past with Nectar extra points promotions and getting anyone at Nectar to take ownership of the problem is like getting blood out of a stone. Personally, I'd claim £50 using moneyclaim online after sending a stern letter of warning to Ford UK (since they were the promoters).

The annoying thing for all the people who didn't get the points through no fault of their own is that they weren't entered into the million points draw either.

Phoned up the dealer again, spoke to the manager and he's told me to come in tonight or at the weekend and he'll put the card through personally.

    Fingers crossed!

Is he willing to compensate you for your time and travel costs though? Makes you think - if this is how Ford dealers cope with one of their marketing promotions, how well will they deal with your car when you have problems?
