No problem at Rotherham and didn't need to take the test drive but you do need to show a driving licence as per Mail on Sunday terms and conditions.

Do I have to ring up first? Or just go in with the voucher any time?

I wonder how far it is from balby?

I suspect every garage has there own criteria, some are being extremely laid back and hand over the points without being very picky, ours didn't even ask to see any sort of licence since they didn't even require us to take a test drive, others are insisting you fulfil every particular of the deal!

Got my points OK, but the only problem now is, that I have seen the new Mondeo that is out next year, what a car and I want one. Will have to see how much the price is next year.

But if they are insisting that you fulfil the conditions, the 10000 points are for booking a test drive not taking a test drive.

Anyway the Ford dealer I went into in Stevenage asked if I wanted it a test drive or just the points. When I said the points he thanked me for not wasting their time and ran the Nectar card through the machine whilst I waited and gave me back the receipt for the 10000 points.

Obviously they would / should need the driving licence if you are taking a test drive. I know few garages bother normally, but this will just be Ford covering themselves.

Is there any way to get the points if I missed the voucher on Sun :( ??

Don't have a voucher, anyway at all ??

I asked in my local garage if they needed the voucher.........................they said yes :(. You could always ask .......................worth a shot I suppose.

    EDITED:
Just received my post.....................................got the best friend ever who sent me the voucher and hadn't told me she was doing so :j :j :D
  • I have a dealer that I pass on the way to work, but I dont but the Mail on sunday - but luckly enough my parents do, so I gave them a call and they still had the paper. I popped into my local dealer and asked if they were participating and the salesman asked me if I did actually want to take the test drive or just want the points. I told him I was just after the points. He took both parts of my licence and my nectar card, he then photocopied them and told me that they would be processing them all tomorrow ( now today ). He added the copies of my stuff to a rather large pile of other copies. I aksed if it had been popular and he said that they have never been so busy with this promotion. I will keep an eye out to see how long it takes for the points to appear on my nectar balance.
I got given the voucher back and I have passed this on to a friend of the wifes so that she can get the points as well.
