Went to Peoples Ford in Speke. Handed them the voucher but they said they had heard nothing from Ford head office about the promotion and that I should ring back later in the week.

Decided to try Peoples Ford in Bootle. Went to new car sales and made inquiries about the promotion. Was informed that there had been alot of requests for test drives and whether I really wanted one as he didn't want to waste both our times.

Gave him the voucher with my Nectar card and he went to the machine at the reception. Was given a receipt awarding 10,000 Nectar points which at least provides proof in case the points don't get added in the next 28 days.
The receipt states the offer as...East T-Drive. Code 7000.

No need for a test drive and out in 5 minutes. HTHs.

I wanted to test drive a Fiesta and Brooklyns of Stourbridge arranged this and gave me the points today with reciept. I was honest and said am looking to change my car this year but wanted to wait until later in the year. Lovely Salesman, no pressure, in fact told me best to wait a while as I missed out on some good offers and there should be some better ones soon. Was well impressed so they are now on my shortlist for when I am ready so its worked for both of us.

Rang Ringways, York Road and although they are listed on web site as participating in Nectar scheme they say they are not accepting these vouchers.
I have arranged a test drive at Dixons, Parkgate, Rotherham tomorrow morning.

That's really annoying. Saved me a phone call I guess.

Is the rotherham one participating for definite?

Do you think it's worth writing to / emailing nectar about this?
The paper said "10,000 nectar points for EVERY reader."

Yet straight away non drivers are discrimated against. As are people who don't live in a town near a participating garage.

    What do you think?

    ONLY a value of £0.01 ?????????????

MINE looks identical except VALUE £10000.00

and I'm sure I'd have remembered spending that amount....

also if I did, why isn't a new Ford sitting on my drive ?

Got my points from Heartlands Ford Birmingham, didn't get a reciept so we'll have to wait and see. The salesperson didn't take the voucher off me or a copy of my driving license  and before anyway asks I've given the voucher to my Brother-in-law.

Didn't have to go for a test drive as the salesperson was upfront and asked if I was really interested in buying a car or there just for the points and I said just the points but I will be looking at changing my car in a few months time.

Just went for my 5-min test drive round the block. Got given a receipt to say card credited with 10K. Salesperson kind of hinted was I just after the points. I said I was genuinely interested in buying a new car 3-4 months down the road and the points was an added incentive.
