Windows has a fax function. You can write a letter in Word or any text processor and send it to any fax machine.hieveryone wrote: »Contacted 192 and they said I either need to write or fax them a form - who has a fax machine nowadays?! ......
Many organisations still use fax and I often send faxes from my laptop.0 -
Thanks,
I haven't contacted him again.
I know I'm in the right, but I guess he's maybe done this before and tried to belittle someone so much by saying something is fake etc, that they just give in.
The fact that he was asking me if I had any more items to sell 'any jewellery', makes me think he isn't quite as legit as he's making out.
Also, do you not need a full address for small claims court? Something I hope he doesn't have of mines.

Thanks, I will have a look and see but I am using Vista so not sure if that will make a difference.
Thanks again.
edit to add: My computer doesn't have it apparantly. Not to worry, have sent the letter so hopefully they will remove records asap.

I wouldnt mind betting that he had second thoughts after buying the watch, and this is his way of trying to get his money back, the chances of somebody like this going voluntarily to a police station seems fairly slim to me, and assuming the item is genuine, there is little he can do, and he knows it, but echoing previous posters, keep the texts, inform the police every time he sends you a text you feel unhappy with, and just take a few extra precautions, but from my experience of people like this the chances of anything happening are extremely slim, somebody who wants revenge tend not to keep in contact, they simply act, and he, in a neandathol? way feels you have spurned him, it will be somebody else next week.Thankyou Sir Alex for 26 years0

Thanks, I know what you are saying is rational, but it's hard to think that way when you're a bit scared and on edge

Not received any more texts as yet. I think it just uneased me even more the way he wrote 'wrong guy' - as if he was part of some sort of 'gang' or something and had 'connections' that could find me - or am I thinking like a movie plot now?

You would need an address for a court thing wouldn't you? I'm just praying nothing gets put down on record against me, it would totally ruin my career.

you need to calm down about it all. he'll be a nobody and won't be doing anything with the police, or courts.:grouphug:
