    Thanks, you're probably right.

He said he came from another city to me - around 50 miles away so he's not in my locality, but stating that he is 'going to find out where I live' has me freaked out a little.

What I sold wasn't fake, but like I said the only thing I'm worrying about is whether he would swap it, and then it's only my word against his. It's a relatively high value item, so isn't really 'straightforward'.

Hi 'iwanttosave', yes I've left work now - but I guess that route is open to all so could possibly contact o2. He has used two different numbers when contacting me though.

Sounds like a scam to me.
inform the cops and get them to do their job.
keep in touch with the officer in charge of it coz it may well be neglected if not

God, I've just looked myself up on 192.com and I'm there! Full name and 'living with...' - the address part is blocked out but says 'sign in or register to view address'.

Oh god, if that's all it takes he'll be at my door tomorrow! :(

try not to let it get to you mate.
don't wind yourself up (been there so often)
chances are he has very little research skills.
contact 192 and ask to have your details blocked

It costs £9.95 for 5 credits which he has to pay via debit or credit card to be able to access your address. It's worth noting that you can remove yourself from these sites.
If you are very worried then phone the police now and tell them you would like a visit.
It's an easy enough job for the attending police officer to phone this pest up and ask for his details so he can visit him. Which will probably be the last you hear of it.

Thanks, I think I will phone 192 tomorrow and explain, not sure how quickly they can take it off?

sophieschoice, I guess that's a good thing that you need to pay by credit/debit card as would leave a trail back to him.

Tasks tomorrow - police and 192. What a nightmare!

    Thanks again everyone. x
