Don't you know anyone who is big and bulky who you can send to go and meet him

Don't feel embarrassed, i would be reacting the same way as you too, but i wouldn't want to change my number and blocking his number won't do much since if he's gonna do anything he's just do it - but he won't.
If he had any intention of coming to get you, he would need the intelligence to know not to leave a text trail of evidence, let alone to be able to find you.
Don't worry, and don't reply to his texts anymore!
(well unless it's to arrange for a psycho friend to meet him :rotfl:) (joke!) 0 -
Not in this short space of time. Give them a few days.
And has already been mentioned lots of times - don't contact this person again. If you keep replying you're just creating a conversation. He'll get bored sending text messages with no response.
And this is rubbish - 'I have given your ad and phone number to the police. you will get later and see you on court, will cost you in the end, thanx' . You don't go the police to take someone to court to get your money back. He can go to the police and try and shop you for dealing in fake goods (pointless, as he sounds like someone who is probably known to the police anyway!). Or he can put in a small claims to reclaim his money, and by the sounds of it he wouldn't be bothered. It's a lot of hassle, and forms to fill, and as he's lying anyway - he wouldn't think he'd win.
He's got no option but to harrass you into getting the money back, and if you stop responding he'll give up.
Totally agree with what you are saying but would it not be trading standards who would be looking into fake goods and not the police. If the police are involved in counterfeit goods aren't they usually brought in by TS?Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

It's annoying that the iphone doesn't let you block numbers, but you can set up a silent ringtone to his numbers, so you don't need to worry everytime your hear the phone rings. (pm me if you need help doing that, i've helped a friend with it once, it's pretty easy to do)
You can also set up a voicemail and add him to the blocked list on youmail.com (i have never used it as i still don't have the iphone =/ )
Block Unwanted Callers- Automatically hang up on unwanted callers before they can leave voicemail.
- Simple to set up with just one click!
- Easily let a pesky ex or telemarketer think your number is no longer in service.

I'm just worried if he has swapped this over it will get laid onto me. But as others have said I guess it's my word against his, and his attitude has shown that he isn't particularly trustworthy.
Not heard anymore since the text this afternoon so I'm taking that as a good sign.
I've done all I can at the moment by getting my details removed - I'm not sure what other sites have this info, if anyone else does?

That's quite good, I might try that voicemail thing, that looks like it would be quite useful. edit: dammit, American site!

You can get similar apps for Nokia so i'm sure there'll be some for the iPhone.
edit - how about this http://iphonehelp.in/2008/12/31/iblacklist-blacklistavoid-unwanted-no-for-the-iphone-via-cydia-free/
Shouldn't matter about the origin of the app, should still work on your phone, although i'm a Nokia fan so know nothing of iPhones!
edit after further events
[Note: Beware of the above app - it's buggy and could crash your phone]0 -

There's an iphone application called iblacklist, and i think if you have the trial version you can have 2 numbers on the blocked list, but you need your phone to be jailbroken
I'll have another look and let you know if i find anything. would be nice to be able to block numbers anyways.
