I applied for this online just now, and it's created an online banking password etc, and I can log in - does this mean I've been accepted?
EDIT: Interesting - it's not displaying an account number/sort code, even though I've asked for it to be displayed, and underneath it says "Application Desicion". When clicking on it, it states:Sorry, we are unable to display the relevant information. Sometimes when customers open a new account we are unable to match this to your customer record. Please call the Online Helpdesk on 0845 602 0000 or try again later. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
I'm presuming it's been declined. Oh well, I'll just stick with my 6% AER Abbey account and LTSB Plus account
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -

I had to ring up when it disappeared and they could track it down. It was then paid into my account the next day as they said and that was then enough to activate it (and send the debit card).
Not my experience.
All three of mine funded via BACS or FP with no problem whatsoever.0 -

It means it has to be manually approved IIRC. I had one which appeared instantly, the other displayed the exact same messages- wasn't an automatic decline, the account details appeared a few days later. Wait and see.
I have to say, superb account- thanks HBOS!:T0 -

Just managed to send my money back to my external account from Halifax via FP and all worked straight away.
I guess they like holding money for 24 hours

Logged in today, they have given me a sort code and account number, changed the account to a Reward account, and a message telling me underneath that I've been declined! LOL!
