If you've put £1,000 through the account, you should get the £5 in September. It doesn't matter how long you wait to apply for another account. However, it doesn't necessarily mean it will get accepted if you apply. Some have been refused.0 -

I opened my account on 28/07/2009. Funded with £1000 on 29/07/2009 and pulled the money out on 30/07/2009. £5 was paid on 01/08/2009.0

just looked at my account and the deposit i made has vanished...... spoke to cservice they said you have not put anything in so did it again just to check ive not gone mad, and there it was so i rang them again told what i was told by the other opperator and this lady said thats fine she could see it all there and was in a holding account as not used cash of £100 to open account first ....... told her i saw no where it stated it had to be cash and that that amount was only to trigger the cash card , said she will make sure its back dated so i should get me free £5 but think anyone opening account should fund £100 cash at a branch not to have these probs:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:0

This happens to absolutely everyone who opens an account but doesn't make the initial transaction in cash. It will return in about 2-3 days and will look like it never disappeared (any negative balances are corrected) and the deposit backdated. Nothing to worry about!just looked at my account and the deposit i made has vanished...... spoke to cservice they said you have not put anything in so did it again just to check ive not gone mad, and there it was so i rang them again told what i was told by the other opperator and this lady said thats fine she could see it all there and was in a holding account as not used cash of £100 to open account first ....... told her i saw no where it stated it had to be cash and that that amount was only to trigger the cash card , said she will make sure its back dated so i should get me free £5 but think anyone opening account should fund £100 cash at a branch not to have these probs0 -
Don't recall it happening with my 3 Reward accounts earlier this year. Maybe that's because I was an existing customer (current and savings accounts) and funded with internal transfers?glider3560 wrote: »This happens to absolutely everyone who opens an account but doesn't make the initial transaction in cash.0
