    Got three of these accounts.

Can anyone confirm that it's ok just to transfer £1,000 from one account straight to another, without leaving it in each account overnight, in order to get the reward?

Confirmed, I have done that for at least 6 months.

I applied for one Thursday morning and sent a small amount across first, then £1000 across by faster payments Thursday evening, then applied for a second a/c. The £1000 had disappeared by Friday morning so I didn't put anything in the 2nd a/c until I could see the money back in the first a/c. It was there Saturday morning so I transferred it to the 2nd a/c. Both accounts had the £5 reward payment showing up this morning - wasn't sure if the 2nd a/c would get it as the transfer wasn't a working day, but it did.

I did try for a third a/c but it was declined :-(

I've got two of these, and also had a third declined.

I am actually using one of the accounts as my current account, moved all my DDs/SOs over yesterday. Got my first 2 fivers yesterday

I would still like a third tho!! Is there a way you can get a basic account and upgrade that one somehow? Or I might try and reapply in the future- anyone had luck with this?

No sign of any of my fivers this month

I already had one account which has previously been getting the £5 for months, and then last week I opened 2 more. But as of today, none of the 3 are showing the reward. The only other thing that I changed is that I rotated funds between them to generate the £1000 turnover, whereas when I only had one Halifax account I transfered between another institution instead. However I thought from reports on here that either worked just as well.

Any ideas what has gone wrong?

dougz: Did the £1,000 go through all of the accounts in September? I rotate from one Reward account to another, and then back to my High Interest Current Account and have not had any problems with this.

I've got £255 switching between 2 accounts four times a month each way by standing order - both had the reward for September show up yesterday, no problem.

Yes, the amounts do all show up on my online statements with September dates.

I did it via immediate transfers rather than automatic standing order. Also I only left the funds for perhaps only seconds before moving it on again. I thought that was still supposed to work?

I don't know what to do now. I am missing £15 so far but not sure if I should draw attention to myself by complaining already, since it will probably look blatent that I only opened the accounts to snatch all the fivers, and then they might just close them altogether.
