Have a nice vantage account although I'm only getting 3% interest with it. Already have an account with Halifax so might open x3 of these and have £1000 bounce between them over the course of x3 days, back and from the vantage. An extra £15 a month will essentially cover my mobile contract.

Off to read up on it now, but I presume the £5 is put in your account every month.

Yes around the 1st but no later than the 7th I think.

I'd do it quickly- I don't expect it to last too long- this is a hook that we will probably lose soon!

Bit of a long hook really. I opened my Reward account back in Feb. Earned a nice £30 so far. :)

I already had a HICA and applied for all my Reward accounts, one after the other, as an existing customer from within my secure area.

I nearly pressed the abuse button! :D

Abusing the Halifax, that is! :T

Just opened my 3, and wasn't that easy. Now to wait for them to change status from standard account to Reward.

A question, does £100 need to be paid in, or is this just to receive the debit car? To be honest I don't really want more cards.

Not straight away but I funded my account with £20 just to make sure everything was working correctly before a large transfer in.

Your putting £1K per month through them, so you'll get the debit cards when you put in your £1000 or what have you.

No. You only need £100 to activate the account, then your cards are sent out. Crediting the account with £1000 entitles you to the £5 reward.

Yeah I know. He doesn't want the cards but he got the account for the £5 reward so is going to stick in enough money to activate the account within a month and get the cards whether he wants them or not to get the £5! Start with a small transfer first to test the water and make sure things are O.K.
