    Sorry if this has been asked before but can you open all your reward accounts together or is it best to wait a bit before each one?...

    You don't have to wait before opening the others. In February, I opened my 3 in immediate succession.

    Can you open more than one account in your name or do people use different members of the family?

    Post 27 above answers your question.

    "Up to two account holders on an “either to sign” basis only. You can hold a total of three Halifax Ultimate Reward Current Accounts and Halifax Reward Current Accounts. For example, one joint Halifax Ultimate Reward Current Account and two sole Halifax Reward Current Accounts. "

    That means there is a maximum of three per person. But it doesn't mean that they will necessarily accept you for three.

    £1,000 NatWest 3.14% eSaver=>Reward 1
    £1,005 Reward 1=>HICA
    £1,000 HICA=>NatWest 3.14% eSaver
    £1,000 NatWest 3.14% eSaver=>Reward 2
    £1,005 Reward 2=>HICA
    £1,000 HICA=>NatWest 3.14% eSaver
    £1,000 NatWest 3.14% eSaver=>Reward 3
    £1,005 Reward 3=>HICA
    £1,000 HICA=>NatWest 3.14% eSaver

    And, with FPs, all done in the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee. :D

    Even simpler! ;)

    Why do you keep moving it back to the NatWest?

    The way I do mine; -
    Coventry BS > Reward 1 > Reward 2 > Reward 3 > Reward 1 > Coventry BS.
    Even simpler;)

    The reason I send it back to Reward 1 prior to Coventry is that I have no S/Os, DDs etc set up on the other 2 Reward accs.

    So it always has the appearance of 'new money to Halifax'. :)

    If (or should I say when?) Halifax get smart and start to investigate possible abuse by those with multiple Reward accounts I'm hoping they look at those funding internally first (that'll be you then ;)).

    And, although you haven't asked, the reason I route back through my HICA is two-fold:

    1. It gives the appearance of high monthly 'throughput' on the HICA, which I do use as my second main current account (it already receives my salary and has a few DD's on it) which acts to improve my internal rating with them (decent overdraft facilities if I want them for O/D matching purposes elsewhere, and pre-approved credit cards), and

    2. The HICA already had a payee set up for NatWest and I'm too lazy to do the same, and mess about sending £1 test payments, for each of my Reward accounts!
    Even simpler;)
    But ever so slightly more riskier? ;)

    Yep, wait a couple of days and they'll all show as Reward. It seems to do this with everyone.

    You can with Faster Payments - either internally through Halifax or from one of the Banks registered for Faster Payments.

    Faster Payments allow money to move through to account almost instantaneously
