  • Hi Jennifernil

    Just started this escapade and wonder how you got 6 accounts? I can figure 3 alright between Halifax and RBS (is it 3 with each?). Appreciate advice.

    Hi Jennifernil

    She said "We have £1000 circulating through 6 accounts...", the inference being there are two of them and they have 3 sole accounts each.
    Halifax and RBS
    I think you mean Bank of Scotland (BoS), the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has no connection to Halifax.
  • I have just opened a reward A/c I am transferring £1 in on Tues. Once I know that has worked I will move in, then out, my £1000.
    How soon do you think I can open another 2 A/cs, (do I have to wait for a letter confirming this first A/c)?

    You put your one grand in, you take your one grand out, in, out, in, out, shake it all about ...

    Having 'sung' all that, I just be sticking with 2 accounts, don't want to risk losing £10 for the sake of an extra fiver.
    What's your style?
    My style? You can call it the art of gambling without gambling.
  • Hi - I've got 3 Halifax Reward Accounts but my mother's Halifax branch has told her that she can only have 1. Could anyone point me to where the eligibility to hold 3 Halifax Reward Accounts is noted in the terms and conditions so she can have proof that she is allowed to open 3?

    See the T&Cs, here.

    Look under 'Halifax Reward Account - Special Conditions' on page 5. It says:
    b) Up to two account holders on an “either to sign” basis only. You can hold a total of three Halifax Ultimate Reward Current Accounts and Halifax Reward Current Accounts. For example, one joint Halifax Ultimate Reward Current Account and two sole Halifax Reward Current Accounts.
  • That's great - just what I needed! Thank you

    Sorry if this has been asked before but can you open all your reward accounts together or is it best to wait a bit before each one?
    Just opened one about a week ago so was wondering when would be best time to open others.

    Thanks in advance.

    I know everyone's shuffling £1000 between their 3 accounts, but I'm too chicken to do it in case they get !!!!ed off and close my accounts! I want my £15 every month!

    My salary's already going to one, so that's sorted. From next month I'm sticking £2000 into my Lloyds Vantage account and will set up standing orders to send £1000 each to the two remaining ones, and a few days later send it all back to Lloyds to collect the 2% interest (and fulfil the Vantage requirements as well!).

    Simple!

    £1,005 Reward 1=>HICA
    £1,000 HICA=>NatWest 3.14% eSaver
    £1,000 NatWest 3.14% eSaver=>Reward 2
    £1,005 Reward 2=>HICA
    £1,000 HICA=>NatWest 3.14% eSaver
    £1,000 NatWest 3.14% eSaver=>Reward 3
    £1,005 Reward 3=>HICA
    £1,000 HICA=>NatWest 3.14% eSaver

    And, with FPs, all done in the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee. :D

    Even simpler! ;)
