I haven't shopped at Asda for years as it is 30 miles from us, but one is being built this summer. Are there offers any good? I think it will be good to have more competition in the area. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

we find their fruit & veg much fresher than Morrisions, and although you dont save that much, by the time we go to Asda, take into account petrol and time out the house, its easier and slight cheaper to shop at Morrisions. If Asda did a reward scheme like Tesco's then maybe we'd just shop there as it can be done online0 -
I miss morrisons
used to be my best local store now i moved and dont have one close. I used to love the offers they did, ill never forget one time my shopping was £15 for £40 worth of stuff (bogof,3for2 etc)
Now im like a woman possessed with tesco! tbh with the things i buy i dont see much difference to asda - it does depend on what you buy i spose, so for me its well worth it for the points (airmiles for me :j)
I just cant wait for another extra points deal - whats the likelyhood of there being another good 1 before this quarters cut off? slim?Everyone who thanks me when ive helped will get a 5% share when I win this weeks Euromillions......:p0 -
yea true - when times are hard (and they still are, for some) you have to make the best of these things. A £10 voucher, saved from gained points over the course off 6 months shopping could be make or break or a family.
But, tbh.. the same could be said for saving the points for deals and days out, as many family may not be able to take the kids to say Alton Towers so to the prices but with Tesco Vouchers, this has helped them get out and about
Yep, I'm still pretty much in that position, usually living very frugally - like lots of others as you say, and just get on with it.
Working pt & to pay way thru studying after redundancy (no benefits, full bills to pay), etc and brought up family alone.
Every little CAN help, and I'm normally grateful for it!
Cheers :beer:Finally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j

next round of CC points wiill be sent out first two weeks in May.
Had a call from Tesco CS in Scotland as I emailled regarding dispatch of May's CC points. Lad said he couldn't give a definate date but we should all have them before 14th May as they are sent out on a postcode basis.
If that makes sense.0 -

Sorry, this is a bit OT
Is it locked into Orange, or Asda's own (Vodafone) deal ? I tried to get my Orange Alcatel unlocked by Orange recently, and they wanted to charge £20 for unlocking.Thank you for reading this message.0 -

I have been back in today because my points still havent appeared, and I was served by a very abrupt lady. I tried to explain that my points hadn't gone on and she just shouted at me that the points are only on chart CDs. It was only when I produced a photo from my phone that I took last week to prove that the CD was included in the points offer that she relented.
I was wary of them removing stickers, so when I was in last week, I took a picture to prove the CD I purchased had a shelf sticker with the offer on.
I wasnt for backing down, but the customer service staff were just down right rude.
She did finally give me my 500 points, but I had to fight for it.
I've just emailed Tesco Customer Services to complain about the store in general !!!
When in doubt - the T & C was count.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
