Tesco Clubcard Points Bonus Discussion

hi can someone help me i bought 2 cds from tesco on tuesday and the 500 points were added on to the receipt so i went back in yesterday and bought 4 more cds all had the 500 extra points on the shelf edge but all i got was 51 points. went to cs who sent me to the entertainment cs who said points would be added at midnight .well i checked and they wernt.what do i do?

I bought two CDs on the offer yesterday and the points didnt show up on the receipt either. Just checked my clubcard account online, and they still havent shown up yet either !!! Will give it a day or so and pop back in to my local Tesco and check it out.
I am sure I read somewhere that when you order online, the points dont show up right away, so I am hoping its the same case with the stores.

Tesco messed up the promotion.

You should never have got the 500 points if you purchased any from the Budget/Cheap charts, but they printed the labels showing the extra points for several of these cheap CDs and these were going through with the extra points. Martin contacted them to clarify and in doing so pointed out the error to Tesco. So those who purchased the budget CDs on Wednesday got the points. Tesco removed the points offers from the other cheap chart CDs but the stores have been slow to remove the lables from the shelves.

You need to go back and get them to manually add the points if the labels are still on the shelves for the CDs you purchased. If not then you won't be getting them.

Thanks Jag - I just checked and my local store is open 24 hours over the Bank Holiday, so I will call down there shortly.

I just called the clubcard helpline on this as i bought 10 cd's today at a fiver each for 2,500 points. All the cd's had the 500 extra points labels on. My points didn't show up on the reciept either. They stated that the points will appear in 6-8 weeks as its a promotional deal.

This seems to conflict with the reply above. Any thoughts ?

The bonus points should be on the receipt when you purchase the CD's. Do not believe they will be added later some offers state this like buying pre-orders before xmas and look at how many people myself included had to get in touch with clubcard to get these points added.

I've just been in to my local store and was told it takes 48 hours for them to appear on my account. She told me to go back tomorrow if they are still not showing up.
I bought two CDs, one was still on the shelf ( so I took a photo of the label on the shelf for proof)/ The other CD I got was no longer there, and there were loads of SORRY THIS ITEM IS UNAVAILABLE labels on the shelves.
I'm not giving up, and plan to go back tomorrow morning and speak to the manager. I'm wasting petrol going back and to !!!!

I think Tesco CS are just fobbing off anyone that asks about the missing points because they messed up with this deal.

I have just had it confirmed by the Customer Services Manager for Tesco Entertainment that the cheap CD offer is not available online.

Unfortunately in regards to this promotion, the information in the media is incorrect as the promotion has only launched in store and will not transgress on to the Tesco Entertainment site and for this I apologise.

Tesco's def messed up, i went back in to my store today. The Customer service women couldn't explain why my points hadn't shown up. I seemed to know more about whta was going on from reading this thread than she did ! Anyway she put my points on manually and then went and removed all the 500 point labels from the cheap chart CD's.
