Hi we are off to gran canaria in JUly for 2 weeks and we are bring with us a friend of my daughter who is also 12. I have tried to get a good price via travel supermarket as a group booking but there seems to be no search results coming up and also it wont give me a price for the boy on his own. So question is how do I get the boy insured his parents will pay but dont have internet access so im trying to help them get the best quote, any ideas???0

Best to either phone an insurance broker or get an adult quote.0

I'm planning to go travelling across Asia and Australia later this year for up to 18 months. There seems to be a lot of variation in the costs of travel insurance for such a long single trip but STA Travel (https://www.statravel.co.uk) seems to be the market leader charging £175 for 18 months under their backpacker policy. I just wanted to check to see if anyone has found anything cheaper before parting with my hard earned cash?0

Hi there
First post... so be gentle!
I have been reading Martins articles regarding Travel Insurance, but I wondered if anyone could assist with Cruise Insurance. We are going to the Caribbean in September and dont want to get caught short if we have to claim back.
We are aware that it is hurricane season, so are opting to take our chances.

hi wonder if anyone can help, i have booked a holiday ,flight and hotel separatly on line, i have travel insurance but not insurance for the flights. do i need this thanks0

Not sure what you mean. It depends what you need cover for, it might be worth checking the travel insurance policy that you already have to see exactly what it covers.0

I am a 55 year old asthmatic scheduled to travel to Canada in September for 16 days. I have never bothered with travel insurance in the past and never needed to make a claim. However having recently heard horror stories of what can happen, am considering taking out medical cover. Have had a quick look on the net and am horrified by the quotes. Has anyone got any suggestions.

Reading all the relevant threads with reference to travel insurance I am still at a loss as to which company to go with. I am looking for an annual multi trip policy for my family (2 adults and 3 children), but dont necessarily want the cheapest one whcih may then be difficult to claim from. The cheapest is coming up as TMSM Travel Insurance from moneysupermarket.
Can anyone reccomend a particular company which is good at dealing with claims without any hassles? I am traveling with a 6 month old to India so really dont want to risk anything!
Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks, Puja.0 -
I got a quote via moneysupermarket for 2 weeks in USA.
It is coming out under £30 which I am not sure if that is each or all together, but it seems way too cheap!
Anyone used moneysupermarket companies via their site like flexicover, club direct etc?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
