for anyone with existing medical conditions or elderly people try asda travel insurance. my dad is 67 with many heart problems and i think my cousin also travelled on asda travel insurance when she was pregnant, although i'm not 100% on this.0

... with Insure & Go, which soundly beats Asda (GBP 71), InsureFor (GBP 59), DirectTravelIns (GBP 70), TotalTravel (GBP 116).0

Has anyone used leading edge travel insurance that is recommended on this site?
Cover seams quite reasonable being £35 to include skiing.
Thanks,

Hi, had a look at that and 35 pounds is cheap but the amount it covers isn't very good, if I were you i would look at spendin 50 -60 and get more cover for personal loss, hospital stay etc.... don't know where you are going but you never know..0

I am think of taking travel insurance through Flexicover Direct, an independent travel insurance provider in the UK. Have not heard about this provider and so i was wondering if someone who has used this provider can tell me more about them. Thankyou0

While I was recently looking for a competitive quote on my home building/Contents insurance, I got the best deal of 7 quoutes from direct line. I had a like for like quote and opted to take the deal on offer (after a bit of negotiating of course). The day after received my home policy I was surprised to receive a travel Insurance policy which covers the whole family for the year throughout Europe. I am megachuffed with this as we are shortly departing this hot and sunny climate for a place where Sangria is cheaper than milk. I have scrutinised this travel policy to compare it with our previous policies and it is pukka. I was after the home insurance anyway so this is the froth on my lager so to speak Ole!       "Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? They toad him away!"0

Hello Moneysavers
I've just read the small print (called Important Statements) on the information relating to one of the travel insurance providers, for insuring people under 49. Rather worryingly it says:
"During the past 12 months, I can confirm that neither myself or any of the people travelling have suffered from any medical condition or received medication, advice or treatment (excluding contraceptive advice.)"
I'm in a party of four fit and healthy 46-year-old women, and ALL of us have received medication, advice and/or treatment in the last 12 months - this statement must surely exclude most of the population!
Does this clause seem unreasonable to other Moneysavers? And if so, what can I do to challenge it?
Thanks for your help.....0
