I am back, I wanted to bump this up as a reminder to come back and let you know my thoughts on Minehead and the accomodation, I will edit and update later tonight.

Oh, and we SAW 4pm queing to get into Centre Stage for 7pm opening. AND there were about 20 people in the queue. I have however sussed out that maybe it is parents with older kids who are off doing their own thing so they have nothing else to do but wait for the evenings entertainment. It can be the only answer can't it??

LOL though, we knew where the entrance was and had tickets for loony tunes so we killed some time in Bobs Yard and went in as it was 2pm start but no-one else was there. Only it seems we had let ourselves in the back door and jumped the queue. Oops, LOL, the door was open and we thought we was the only ones that were there until everyone else started coming in and realised there must be another entrance.

    Right, back again.

The accomodation on Plantation is 2 or 3 high. When we got there the windows were open - after a day of being there we knew why, the apartment smelt very damp and condensated really badly every night. There was something down the wall in the lounge that I did not want to even think about. We had faux leather sofas that were really nice to sit on and not the smelly ones. Hurrah!!

We had a wander around and the SC deluxe lodges are basically carvans made to look like a log cabin. Not sure I'd have been happy paying £1800 for that but might be worth an upgrade for a minimal amount if you can get it. These are right next to the pool. There is another SC silver called Honiton Village, these are all single storey and, to be honest, might have been better as the kids can get outside to play where as they cannot in plantation without them being out of sight. If you get the units numbers 1-5 you are pretty close to everything as they are not far from the skyline, however I never had a chance to look inside those.

The pool here was MUCH better to be honest, one of the best and they have a better changing room system too. My kids preferred this pool.

There is an 'animal experience' that we went to see, it was an hour and tbh I'd go see something else. There was just 4 animals and lots of talking, the kids got very fidgetiy and had enough in that time.

The outside fun fair is very much for older kids at this park, not a great deal for smaller ones unlike the other funfairs, they did go to Bobs Yard though which had more than the other Butlins did. We bought food from Iceland and ate at the apartment and probably saved ourselves a fortune if all be told. Milk is reasonable on site though as they have a Londis.

So anything else you want to know then please ask while it is fresh in my mind. We never took the car anywhere really and stayed on the park the whole time.

Oh, the other thing. You can get your keys from 1.00 but cannot get into your room. We was able to get into the room at 2.30 (premier club) so we just liuterally dumped our stuff and went swimming. But the pool was empty with hardly any queues for the slides. I would advise to get your keys at 1pm and go swimming to get the best of the pool and slides on this day, the lazy river was not open but everything else was and it was really nice, just a handful of people, everyone else is waiting to get to their rooms or is going home!!
