Last time there was a huge queue that formed well before opening times, I thought someone great was 'billed' and thought we had missed something. Maybe 'Take That' had popped in on the quiet. No, it was a magic show. A magic show!!
We have a fab place to stand - each time we have got there just as the entertainment starts and get the same place and have a great view. Sure I am going to eat my words after this, but do you really need to get there 2 hours before the doors open? I saw some people with flasks and eating food. I mean, really?
We rarely go into centre stage because it gets so packed but it is much better since the smoking in there stopped. We usually mooch around the skyline and just pop in and out of the shows that my daughter wants to watch. She likes the 2p slots lol.0 -
If you time it that a show is just finishing you can go in and get seats that people have just left , quite often the early show is aimed at little ones and then the 9 o'clock show is for an older audience so you get the tots plus parents leaving.
I have got good tables and views by doing this ( not for BGT or X factor )

Thanks, I booked the silver upgrade yesterday and requested plantation quay - so finger crossed I get it. The girl on the phone was lovely and actually asked me how I got to book high heason (oct half term) with the sun offer, not in a nasty way but in a wow you got a bargain way, lol.0

Never tried Dave but whenever we have been there have been loads of posters up asking if you want to extend your stay. Last year in high season also. There always seems to be units empty.0

went to bognor last year half board - food was fine, just like canteen food or school dinners, not fine dining but perfectly good. we had no problems with kids running round or it being chav central either, a bit noisy but only with people talking whilst they ate. i enjoyed the rest from cooking and the fact that we had a god breakfast every day so didnt need much lunch
never queued to get into the shows - our kids are teenagers so dont want to go to the early shows and like other people have said a lot of the young families leave early so always managed to get seats. bognor has a tescos which we used for booze and stuff
we went silver half board which was ok, not v clean but ok as we only went back to sleep'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0 -

phoned up this morning, managed to get it sorted, already had oct half term break there, now managed to extend it to include the halloween weekend break, so 7 nights for under £200:j, only downside is, if i had extended it from the weekend b4 we would have got to see stavros flately, now we are stuck with shaun smith insteadTake every day as it comes!!0 -
Nice, LOL. Glad you managed to sort it. I do know whatv you mean, we have someone that we'll not probably see on our break as well. So good that I cannot remember who it is. Probably Shaun Smith as well. I'd love to see Diversity - mind you I'll probably be having to queue at 4.30 for it, ha ha!!0

Aww spaceman would have been fun with Stavros lol. We had chico on our May half term break, lol, he is a great dancer and full of energy, but I wouldn't make a special trip to see him.0

I agree with you Sue thats exactly how I feel about food and accom. Tesco is just across road from Minehead so we usually pop in there.
We are self catering in oct because of sun deal, they want £120 to add on half board for 4 nights and I think we could eat better for less. But when I book a last minute stay I always book half board and its great value.0
