    Hi girls. Shiny new thread!

Don't think I'm going to be able to keep up with this thread any more but I'll try! Here's a link to a few pics of Alex, finally.

We're doing pretty well. He can sleep for 6-8 hour stretches (although not at night just yet) and generally feeds every 4 hours or so. BF is going well, although his latch on the left side isn't great as he's too lazy to open his mouth and then gets frustrated and shoves his fist in!

I've officially lost a stone from the day I had him, so just another one to go. Am hoping it will come off steadily while I'm BF.

Imogen is just sooo in love with him it's not true and she's being a really good girl. We've had a few broken nights with her, but not too bad. She's been good since my mum left on Saturday even though she's not getting quite as much attention as she would otherwise.

I feel half human this morning. THink my iron tablets are kicking in. Might even venture out to the post office this pm - only a 5 min stroll but more than I've been capable of for a week. DH is off for this week and next, then my mum's back for a week, so I should be on an even keel by then.

Sorry I haven't been able to catch up. Elle - hope Rhys is home and thriving?

Hiya! Glad you're doing okay. I remember that feeling of not being able to manage a five min walk and that was just after the section, don't think I had a huge blood loss.

Imogen looks so proud, bless her! :D

Rhys is doing really well, thankyou. Just waiting for the community nurse to arrive - she's bringing the scales with her so we can see how much he's put on since Tuesday. Feels like a lot to me (he's asleep on my chest right now) and he's definitely filling out a sleepsuit which he didn't last week. I put up the link to some piccies of him the other day, but they all have his feeding tube in - we took it out on Saturday as he's been on bottles since Weds :D

    :T:T

    Fab news Elle.

Thanks for all the comments. I think it's the 5 units of someone else's blood that make me look good. I can believe what a kind of glow I have - how odd.

For those interested in the gory details I've just posted the birth story on the birth thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=23481889#post23481889

Be warned though, the second half is rather dramatic.

MW has been today and Alex has lost a few ounces, but nothing to worry about. Generally he's doing pretty well. DH's just taken Imogen for a walk into town so I'm going to squeeze in a quick nap.

Tomorrow we book the holiday for next year :T and I might even manage a short forray to Next for a couple of slightly baggy tops to hide my jelly belly.

LuT - what lovely pictures - I agree that Alex looks like Imogen, who I think looks like your mum!!!!

My mum has arrived and bundled LO off for a trip to the post office and supermarket. I'm off for a bath. By myself. :D

Oh.. the seller of the crib has just got back to me. I ordered it two weeks ago yesterday on next day delivery. Have been chasing it ever since, the seller is apparently waiting for it from their suppliers - originally this was going to be last Monday and now it's not going to be until the end of next week.

Crib is £95 with free delivery and it was the only place I could find it who said they had it in stock. They have already refunded me £10 because of the original delay, and have now offered to cancel and refund in full (no other compensation) or for me to wait until it is in stock again and give me it at half price.

As it happens, we've got room for the travel cot until our bedroom is done and we all move back in there by which time the crib really ought to be here. Think I'll go for the half price option as I can't get it anywhere else anyway!

Rhys is very snacky today, having half a bottle every hour. I suppose it's only like breastfed babies sometime do (don't they?!)..
They absolutely do... I don't know how often Caitlyn feeds... I just stick the boob in whenever she wants it.... Wether that's 4hours later or 10mins later... I know you can't do that at the moment, but maybe you will get to that point when he's a bit bigger :D
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Erin can be really snacky some days(like today) and other days its like she has hardly fed at all! how did the massage go krystal??

am bored have lots to do but have lost the will to live lol! i have huge pile of washing and ironing, everytime i put washing outside it rains but its so windy things should dry no prob! my cupboards and fridge are bare and i dont know what on earth we are doing for tea? oh and the trailer is full of rubbish that need to be taken to the tip! but im sitting here and OH is playing the playstaion with the kids lol!

Elle i would go for the half price option! esp as he is so small its not like he will grow out of it!
