After my first attempt at breastfeeding in public, I think I'd like to get a shawl or something to make it easier. I'm going to Bros wedding in Sept, and it'll be an all day affair, mainly in a field, so nowhere private! Do I just get any old shawl? I'll be wearing white shoes, white trousers, a purple top and a white fascinator thingy. What colour shall would be good?
Toby is wear clothes today! Mum likes to dress him when she visits, so yesterday he was in a tshirt and trousers, and today he is in dungarees. He looks much older in clothes, but I still prefer babygrows.
Have fun at the picnic today.

Oh, and Tobes had his first taste of food! Dad was holding him while we were out having a Nepalese, and he spit up a bit (Baby, not Dad). So dad dabbed his mouth and Toby sucked the cloth into his mouth like usual. Only thing was Dad used his napkin instead of the muslin and it had curry on it! He made some very funny faces!
Was talking to Mum about BLW, and she said she did that when we were little, but back then it was just called being lazy.
Rmac, what a lovely Mum. Enjoy your rest, make sure it is a rest!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
feelie - I'm pashmina mad and would recommend them - they are great for hiding behind if BF. I got a beautiful one last week in tie rack. Why not go for a lilac or purpley colour to match your outfit
Mine cost about £20 (but it was a present
)
r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

Hope everyone has a nice time this afternoon, I'm very jealous I can't come... But I'm off baby massaging in 20mins so I can live with my disappointment...
Feely, I'm not shutting myself off from the world because of swine flu but I'm a very 'at home' person anyway, I tend not to go out much apart from the occaisional booby group or Aimee's swimming lessons and church, obviously... But I keep my antibacterial gel close... And I'm contemplating some dettol wipes to keep in the change bag too... But I always had those with Aimee anyway, good for high chairs when you're eating out...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Aww.. hugs - at arm's length
- for Lexi!
My friend has been round this morning with her mum and lots of cute clothesJust waiting for someone coming at 1pm to look at my wardrobes, then comms nurse coming this afternoon. The battle with the GP continues so I'm going to have to go down there myself later too.
Rhys is very snacky today, having half a bottle every hour. I suppose it's only like breastfed babies sometime do (don't they?!)..0 -
Thanks elle
, good luck with the GP hope it goes well and you get what Rhys needs from them. It annoys me that things like this are not straight forward :rolleyes:
