I was slow to compliment, but I am in awe of both your craft skills and your time-management abilities :) Congrats. He's surely too young to worry about being home-made yet!
absolutely Bruno! If he could think those thoughts now, I'd have a genius on my hands!!!

How's elijah sleeping now? Is OH feeling any more human?

Just a thought, I once worked with a client who'd lost her mum very traumatically (of course it always is, but YKWIM?) and found that she always pushed away relationships with older women. Subconsciously, having been 'left' by mum, it was too scary to risk it happening again... Just wondered re: her relationship with your mum...

MFD I know you were teasing about the cowboy outfit but I did go look to see if there was enough fabric for a waistcoat!

    sadly not!

But a pretty little mini-skirt is do able.

How exactly are we putting in our requests for girl ones next time? Do I write to Santa?

It depends how you bring him up really Weezl. My two have never really been into brand names and choosing clothes until the last year or so when they've had more peer pressure from school. They're 12 and 10 now.

If he's like that, you could get away with it for a few years. However the boys have got friends who've had to have the latest fashion from a young age.

    Becles, thanks :)

Erm, so what are your tips for not having a latest fashions obsessed little boy?

That sounds like a very posh baby/toddler group! all the groups I've been to are in surestart or little church halls so its just a matter of what toys they can fit in a large cupboard/small storeroom:p

I meant to say, OH also goes to other things like the library rhymetime that is much more toys-in-the-cupboard style, but this council seems to have the fancier, permanent-site "one'o'clock clubs" scattered all over! Guess we struck lucky, 3 are in walking distance!

Elijah back to one feed around 3.30-5am time, and then sleeps well the rest of the time. Not ideal for his age but we figure perhaps his body is trying to catch up on the weight it's supposed to be if it hadn't been for the reflux, or something. I think we both feel a bit more human.

I very much suspect you're right about the trauma roots, it's not really something I can address properly with her but I am aware.

I meant to say, at my last checking the forum at 10.30 last night, after which there were 5 pages of sex chat before dawn:rotfl: to which I shan't contribute as I'm sure the contentious "man's position" would immediately lead me into TMI :A

Weezl ithink depending on what Fergus's confidence turns out like homemade clothes could be a problem from 4yo or could be fine until 11
yo I doubt it would be ok in high school, that would defiinitely be about a boy teritory :p

tara knows about ordering a girl, she managed it using a well known meathod which involving having sex before ovulation - there's more things to do but it's based on the fact that girl sperms swim slower and survive longer :)

    Morning all..

We really should have gone out first thing - fed Rhys at eight and he's been zonked out since. Just waking now so I bet he'll be awake all morning and have a grouch about his car seat. He does look so cute right now tho! :o

Are there any rules on taking dinky babies into pub these days? The place I went to last night was a Hungry Horse pub with a conservatory well away from the loud bar. Just wondered if I could take Rhys there - with OH too obviously!

OH suggested we start going swimming and that my mum babysit Rhys whilst we do. Didn't think he'd be so up for leaving Rhys with someone else just yet, but I think he's spurred on by the jeans I bought him yesterday being a bit snug (but they are the size he wants to be) ;)

Hmm.. thought Rhys was waking up - just wriggled around a bit, let out a big trump and settled back to sleep again!

Yup never got caught up in the moment :) Honest hand on heart... if there has been no alternative then it was heavy petting only - because of changing pills over the years etc I've always had condoms in the house... And also because of having had several courses of anti biotics with wisdom teeth problems etc... If we haven't had any and there has been a risk then no penetration :)
I dunno if that makes me sound like a "holier than thou" kinda person but I honestly have never "got caught up in the moment"

Funnily enough - my first born is the result of anti biotics for wisdom teeth problems! :o:o
Both DD's were conceived on the first time of trying - so when we've not been trying, we must have been very lucky! I still don't know what to do - sterilisation seems to be the obvious choice - but its so final.

becles, sami, redmel, 3, mfd all with parenting experience of older boys, at what age d'you think home-made clothes would be a problem? (obviously I'll ditch the baggy bums and elastic waists pretty soon!)

3 you sound happier again, well done :)
Thanks Weezl - i'm happier as we've talked a lot of stuff through - (but I could still strangle him!).

I'm ok with my older two. DS still wears what he's told - but thats a result of his Autism, not my fantastic parenting skills! I was looking at school stuff in Asda for them, and noticed the black pumps for PE only go up to a size 13. Obviously 'normal' 12 year old boys with huge size 5 feet wouldn't been seen dead in them - so they don't sell them!

DD1 8 1/2) is an individual! :D She doesn't want to wear what everyone else is wearing - and her favorite shop is Primark! :money: Again, nothing to do with upbringing - she's just herself! She chose her own outfit for the school disco a couple of weeks ago - and I must admit she looked quite cool! Black leggings (Primark), black t-shirt with some sparkly logo on, Black butterfly pumps (tesco) and a black tu-tu (left over from last years dancing costumes!) - and hair in backcombed bunches! (Its just occured to me that I may be bringing up my very own goth or emo!)

I dread to think what i'd do if DS was 'normal'. My friends boy of the same age will only wear this particular black tracksuit hoody uniform  that all his mate wear! She's suggested he wears other stuff, but everything else is 'gay!', apparently. :rotfl:

Bruno please feel free to join in - we could do with some male opinions - might help us to understand how the male mind works!

Hi everyone just got back from a week away and I'd forgotten how you can all chat!! I was still on part 3!

Elle: I took Reece to the Trawl pub (which has just been re-decorated!) a few weeks ago, breastfed him there and it was fine - no-one said anything. I take it Rhys is home now? I've been sorting out baby clothes for my cousin as his OH is pregnant but I have some early/tiny baby vests and couple of dungarees if they are any good to you for Rhys?

Weezl: I have boys clothes ranging from newborn to 2yrs if you want anything measuring (I'm not organised just have clothes from DS1) and your handywork is brillant!

DH still hasn't got his wicked way yet - until I start to get more sleep or some me time then he's got no chance of me making time for that! Besides Reece hasn't had his 6-8 week check up and injections yet and he's 10weeks today but going on monday so will look at some contraceptive then.

there was loads more I wanted to say but can't remember

morning all! sami that wardrobe is beautiful!

weezl i have neve brought mine up with labels but school turns it around fast, i had to buy Helly Hanson jackets for my 2 as megan was being teased about not having one. this is a small village school too! i try to buy what they like and usually its fine, but shoes trainers and coats are a different matter. My cousin supplies a lot of hand me down clothes for lewis and every item has a label, most are new too as she only has 1 little boy and he is spoilt!

have a nice day out Elle!
