Krystal it must be the age
Alexandra is doing something similar - some days she'll feed fine, the next she might do one normal feed then decide that unless 5 doors in the house is open, the dog is upside down and I'm wearing a black bra and pink knickers then she ain't feeding unless it's upside down and I sing the alphabet backwards... *sigh* It's driving me nuts!
If she's not in the mood to feed from a certain boob then she'll kick off and not latch on properly
I've taken to expressing again and giving her a bottle... I have to say I'm sorely tempted by going for formula nowI don't want to but this is seriously testing my sanity now! Hubby bless him says he's happy no matter what I want to do and will support me either way! (luv him!)
Tine, I'm sure you'll make the right decision for you and Alexandra.
I just wanted to say that there are loads of really reassuring pieces of research out there which affirm just what a huge amount you have already done for Alexandra by breast feeding for so long. I read that just to breast feed for 3 days has been shown to give a baby a year's worth of boosted immunity.
Anyhow, I guess I just wanted to say that if you stop, you have already done an amazing thing for her. And if your sanity feels tested, then that sounds like a very hard place to be.
Not relaunching the breast/bottle debate, just offering a ((((hug)))) and the feeling I have that you've done phenomenally well under very trying circumstances.
Much love to you as you think it all through

Erin is at least a little older than Alexandra who's only 12 weeks... I was HOPING to BF till 6 months
But as long as she's keeping this up I seriously doubt it! When she's being diffucult to feed then it means my milk production drops and then has to get back up to speed again and it's extreemly tiring...

Could you give her a half-birthday party on 22nd June instead? Still do something she wants to do at home (maybe lift the makeup ban for 1 day only, so long as you put it on for her?!) with her favourite food or whatever and a promise of a party in 6 months when her friends are about? No idea how that would go down... would mean her actual birthday wasn't so good, but she has something to look forward to iyswim...
It's no fun having a birthday so close to christmas. SIL is on 3rd january, and even her other half forgets it. I think [strike]I am[/strike] we are sometimes the only ones who remember!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

I gave up on Asda deliveries a few years back because of substitutions and stuff near to date - but used it again when I was massively pregnant and got a few good deliveries! But this has got to be the delivery most different to my shopping list!
Does anyone use Tesco or Sainsbury deliveries - are they any better?
www.mysupermarket.co.uk is good for picking where to online order from.
I used Sainsburys and got annoyed with substitutions, went with Ocado and their customer service and accuracy has been completely awesome - even to the extent that when we got back from California last month, I'd booked a delivery for the pm we got back. However we'd also just moved house and this minor detail had slipped my mind...
About 45 minutes into the hour slot I suddenly clicked, and rushed out the door while phoning their contact number - only to find that the driver had got there, discovered we'd moved, phoned my mum(!), and was on the way round to the right address
I know Ocado are a bit more expensive (NOT on everything! Honest!) but I think they're worth it. On the other hand our monthly grocery spend is totally terrifying so maybe I'm an idiot ;plady - she is such a monkey she knows exactly what she is doing! this is the nursery im talking about! i think charlie would love it and it might be just the thing to tire him out(will have to wait until he turns 2 first lol)

That is just the most awesome thing ever Caz, I am so very jealous. I hope you can get Charlie in, I bet it would be great for him!0 -

I was going to suggest bowling:p My mum always had awful birthdays, it's on Jan 1st (new years day!!) so everywhere was shut, adults (inc Parents) were generally hung over, everyone was skint (so always got the joint xmas/bday thing) and kids couldn't couldn't get around to see her because of said hung over parents!!!
Mel xUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0
