You should think yourself lucky to have 39 weeks left :D

I work in construction, with the highways agency (maintaining motorways) and my job is to work with the contractors to get them to play together nicely!!! We call it 'partnering' and 'culture' so I run a 'Community' of companies working in 'partnership' towards a common goal and ethos :D

I boss men around for a living ;) trying to teach them common sense and decency!!

Confused yet LOL :D even my mother isn't sure what I do!!!

oh my I feel for you now! My Daddy works for Nuttals highways division, those blokes are sooo childish and seriously most of the management couldn't organise a p up in a brewery!!

I'm very lucky that I'm the decision-maker's assistant so I've managed to persuade her to pay up half my holiday entitlement next month instead of having to wait for it to be worked out when I go back. Our holiday year runs 1 April to 31 March and I only used one day's holiday between 1 April and 17 May this year, so have 24 plus BHs left :)

God I LOVED my perm!!! Actually...I had several :D
I also had several, but didn't love them! :o

I'd go to the hairdressers wanting to look like the girl from T'pau or one of Bananarama..................and come out looking like my Nana!

BF / Weaning mummies - are you expressing to make baby rice / porridge etc?

I gave Benjamin a baby yoghurt this afternoon and he was so excited he finished it all and then ate a full portion of baby rice (20ml of mummy milk) - I think my boy is ready for weaning...I will still do BLW for one or two meals a day but it seems a shame when he gets so excited about a spoon to not give him other stuff too!!

Not sure what to do when I express now...do I need smaller portions of my milk to make food with? How do others go about it?

I did boobie ice cubes for mixing with baby rice. She wasn't too impressed with babyrice, but its handy now for mixing with breakfast cereals/rusks.

Violet is having three meals a day now - she was definately ready at just after 4 months. She gets so excited when she sees the spoon. Mel started to feed Kai today and Violet was so upset that it wasn't for her!

When we're having our meals, she's sitting on the table, in the bumbo, with something to chew/suck/hold. She had her first chip today!

i know how you feel sami....i really have to start thinking about going back to work and when and how etc. it gets me down, so ive been putting it to the back burner a lot even though i know its at least 6 months away......

My date for going back in is 26th October I think, but with 4 weeks annual leave, it works out about 23rd November.
I really need to sort out changing my hours for going back, and a childminder! But that will make it seem real and I don't want that!

OH's next interview is 14th September, and he gets told there and then if he's through. So, i'll decide what i'm doing after that and start to arrange stuff!
