  • BF / Weaning mummies - are you expressing to make baby rice / porridge etc?

I gave Benjamin a baby yoghurt this afternoon and he was so excited he finished it all and then ate a full portion of baby rice (20ml of mummy milk) - I think my boy is ready for weaning...I will still do BLW for one or two meals a day but it seems a shame when he gets so excited about a spoon to not give him other stuff too!!

Not sure what to do when I express now...do I need smaller portions of my milk to make food with? How do others go about it?

Feely said she has frozen milk in ice cube trays so you could do that and defrost a few at a time :)
  • my boss phoned me the other week to see if I was still going to be coming back full time !! I think she is a bit worried as I work in the 2 branches that are a bit more remote than all the others and no one else wants them !!
I cant afford not to go back full time though, with Chris' illness, mine is the only guaranteed income we have :(

We seem to be planning lots of holidays / breaks away..

    Shropshire in September
Derbyshire in November (OH doesn't know about that yet, it's for his birthday ;))
    Bulgaria in May

.. and probably something in February for my birthday too :o

MFD, stupid question coming up.. What is it that you do? I know it involves lots of men, engineers and you have a degree..:o

We were talking about holidays earlier and I suggested we could go (back to Bulgaria) "in early May - before I go back to work".. :( Made me sad to think about going back to work! :( 39wks of mat leave left..

You should think yourself lucky to have 39 weeks left :D

I work in construction, with the highways agency (maintaining motorways) and my job is to work with the contractors to get them to play together nicely!!! We call it 'partnering' and 'culture' so I run a 'Community' of companies working in 'partnership' towards a common goal and ethos :D

I boss men around for a living ;) trying to teach them common sense and decency!!

Confused yet LOL :D even my mother isn't sure what I do!!!

Yup, makes sense.. Sounds like the "bashing their heads together" stuff we have to do at work! ;)

I do miss work as in the people and the work that I did, but I certainly don't miss the getting up in a morning and having to be ready for a certain time.. I'm much more of a PJs til lunchtime, working when I want type!
