Chocolate custard is the only custard I like, what about rice pudding with a big blob of jam in the middle, they had a stupid rule at our school where if you stirred it in and made it pink you had to eat it all before you went out to play??! What difference did it make if you'd stirred it in?

They wouldn't be able to pick out the jam lump, and put the white stuff back in the pan for next weeks pudding!!

How much was the food flask in tesco? I'm looking to get Aimee one before she goes back but they're not cheap...

It was £4 I think, and looks like this 1204373401578080_2.jpg but pink, obviously!! :p

(I'm hoping the pasta will vary her diet. For the last year it's been tuna or cheese sandwiches, every day!)

If you are BFing how are your nips? :rotfl:
pooh and boobs - its all we talk about :p
He rolled for the first time about three weeks ago. Done it occasionally since, but did it four times in a row today! He puts so much effort into it that he always does a huge fart!

HV said I'm ok to start him on solids when I want, but he seems happy so I'll wait a bit longer.
:rotfl:yeah Toby
is it wrong that when I think of Toby I see a baby face toby jug?

Susan you might want to download it later, 2 chefs try each week to help a family reduce their grocery spends. There's also theoretically a healthy eating slant, but last week they taught her deep fried chicken and a dish using those american frankfurters....

Me and DH like shouting at the telly (quietly, mustn't wake baybeee!)

Things like 'ONLY £2.64 per portion!? that's ludicrous!'

Thanks all for the weaning and sitting up thoughts :)

It was my NHS birth to 5 book that said not until they could sit unaided, so not sure where they get that from!
I always wondered who read that book :p

Ok you all talked too much!! I wanted to comment more but damn 3 quote limit!

Physio went well, I got told off for not drinking enough:o not doing my pelvic floor exercises and she confirmed what I feared... I have a prolapsed bladder but its not as bad as I thought and she thinks it'll fix itself if I do my squeezes :D
my muscles down there are pants though  you should be able to hold for 10secs then do another 9 reps but I could only hold for 4 and do 3 more :o

Ed's eye drops are more of a cream, just put first one in while he was asleep, prepared for him to wake up screaming but he wasn't bothered :T

hi ladies.
well, today Christopher is a week old. its SCARY. I havent really got a chance to come on MSE to have a chat or natter or catchup with whats going on....havent even been on the pregnancy forum yet to see what poor souls are still pregnant. lol.
Christoher is doing well, and I am dealing with the tiredness. lol.
Katie (DD - 19 months) has her moment - obviously seeking more atention than usual and has been in the naughty corner more this past week than she has in her life. lol. although, im scared of scolding her too much!! Anyone got any tips or advice for me as to dealing with the attention-seeking (usually naughty) behaviour!?? :)

Hope everyone is good, and all the little ones are being good!! :) hopefully get to know you all quite soon...xxo

i hate custard, rice pudding and all milk puddings to be honest and they used to force fed me it when i was in primary school x

Same here, and I really can't stand blancmange either. I used to get force fed it too, and I'd be gagging and trying to force it down, but they still insisted I had to eat it all

I ended up so upset over school dinners and there was no provision for taking packed lunches, so my friends Mam said I could go to her house at lunchtime. They lived on the way to school, so I'd drop my lunch off and leave it in her fridge on a morning, and go and eat with them at lunchtime :D
Here I go again on my own....

Its just a phase :)
Chris was a nightmare for the first 4ish weeks and I thought OMG how on earth am I gonna cope, I'm gonna end up on super nanny :p but then he just started behaving better again *phew*
only thing I can suggest is spend as much time as possible with her. I try to make a point of doing the things I always did with Chris even if sometimes it ment leaving hubby to wrestle with a screaming wriggle monster for a while

• carla, give her some leeway for a few weeks, its hard on them to accept they are not the entre of attention. If she isnt in danger or hurting Christopher, then I personally would try to ignore it, but praise her for helping you with something instead and she will soon come round :)

hey sami! long time no chat, hehe!! :)

thats good, at least ther may be light at the end of the tunnel. altho,im not sure if its ew arrival to the family, or approcahing the terrible twos, or a mixture of both causing it!
I have been basically leaving chrispther when he has been fed and changed etc, and me and Katie play with her bricks, dolls house, play shops, just generally what we did before he arrived. hopefully she calms down a bit.
she obviously adores him thought - when she distracts herself from playing, she wants to kiss, stroke and hold him which gives me a heart attack at times!! but at leat she is showng interest!!?

hey MM

yeah, i have been to a certain extent. But i scared of letting things go, and her get used to it, and then setting myself up for mass destruction!!
when i need to feed christopher etc, i make sure i ask her to help out, or make sure she is occupied and can entertain herself (scummy mummy allowing her to watch tv for half hour while i fed, burp and change christopher! :o)
