Susan you might want to download it later, 2 chefs try each week to help a family reduce their grocery spends. There's also theoretically a healthy eating slant, but last week they taught her deep fried chicken and a dish using those american frankfurters....

Me and DH like shouting at the telly (quietly, mustn't wake baybeee!)

Things like 'ONLY £2.64 per portion!? that's ludicrous!'

Thanks all for the weaning and sitting up thoughts :)

It was my NHS birth to 5 book that said not until they could sit unaided, so not sure where they get that from!

Meeeeeeeeeeeee:p I was the same...couldn't believe they made a family meal with hotdogs...YUK!!!!
I have it set to record, so will probably watch it after the big boys are in bed, so I can watch it in peace:D

Oh yeah - there is a whole thread dedicated to it over on old style:D

    Mel x

weezl is it not BLW that is dangerous if they cannot sit unaided?

ah! that could be it, thanks :)
    Why don't I have a book?

My HV gave me mine. Along with a ridiculous leaflet about not shaking your baby.....

Good grief, the things they think can be cured with a leaflet!

What next, leaflets given out in prison about not pinching stuff that isn't yours?

Feely, you've not missed much, you know loads from kellymom, and I think it's more evidenced based, personally ;)
omg weelz i was saying that last week ... things like you'll only spend £130 for the week .... the week .... the week that can last me the month x

Ooooh bring Philip round and we and our OH's can shout at the telly together! I'll put the kettle on now :)

edit: and mel too! Did you eat the mince? :)
edit2: congrats caz! did she do perineum massage? That's an impressive first size :)

  • Hello Ladies :D

My tender is finished. My assistant is printing it as we speak and my business partner will take it in tomorrow before the 11am deadline (mental note to speak to him early in the morning to make sure he doesn't sleep in late!!)

Bejamin was weighed today and is 15lb 11oz - so he has put on 6oz since last Thursday clever boy :T:T

HV didn't seem concerned about his weight loss...she said you only have to look at him to know he is a picture of health :D

She asked if I was weaning yet and when I said I had tried bits she said I had done well to wait so long  Benjamin is only 21weeks!

My brave little soldier was such a good boy when I took him into the office this afternoon and mostly amused himself / didn't make a fuss for 2 1/2 hours *proud smiley*!! He also went to bed completely awake at 7pm and has taken himself to sleep :T he often goes down 'awake' but it is usually a very sleepy version of awake :D

I am so proud of my son :D

I now have 2 1/2 weeks to devote my time completely to Benjamin - he is going to be spoiled rotten ;)

    ....now to catch up :\

thanks susan im just unsure how much to put in lol! not wanting them to be hungry?
Why not have a picnic lunch in the garden before they go back to school so you can get an idea how much each child needs?

At our school the kids aren't supposed to leave any lunch so not too much would be my recomendation. School lunch portions are small anyway. That's why kids need a snack when they come home! Also, they are desperate to go play with their friends. Ben likes wraps for a change and I try to include a homemade cake/flapjack as something sweet.
Too many children, too little time!!!

SM there's a thread about it on old-style where last week people were typing their rants whilst watching, might be fun ;)

Caz there's also one asking for a week of meal plans for lunchboxes, but no-ones added theirs yet.... Might be useful for you when they do though? :)

OK, enough randomness, I'm off to watch economy gastronomy

Ooops, ps Well done MFD on the tender, must feel like a huge relief :)
