STOPTOBER CHALLANGE ... here we go !!0 -
WooHoo Go Rhys! Elle I know what you mean about the packing, Im not one for travelling light either
Hope it all goes well for you - it is tomorrow in Nottingham isnt it?
Yup, Specialist at 0945, then to Ikea!
ETA: Well, I say that but last time the appointment and subsequent tests took four hours and ideally we need to be back for 6pm so the comms nurse can come here to do his jab, otherwise we have to take him into the neonatal unit, so we might not have time for Ikeawe're looking at 3 places tomorrow for the reception! OH does not know this he thinks it is one we're looking atplanning to bore him so much with it all tomorrow that he just agrees with whatever i suggest lol!! he keeps saying he wants to be hands on with all the arrangements  he needs to understand, that is not acceptable to me or any other [STRIKE]potential bridezilla[/STRIKE] bride to be :rotfl:
Aww.. nice he's showing an interest tho'! Part of the reason we'e not got plans to get married is that neither of us can be bothered with the organising!.. Well Caitlyn has put on 11oz in 12 days hurray! I made a point of ringing DH and said 'I told YOU so!'
HA to him, and well done you!:T :j

Well done Kai!
Honey, at 6 weeks, if Caitlyn wasn't sleeping or feeding she was crying... There was no real awake time for her, she was far too miserable... It was from about 8 weeks she started being awake without crying between feeding and sleeping... I tend to chat with her a little bit, but she has a very short attention span and doesn't always like it... Also, try not to give him 100% attention if he's happy occupying himself a little too... Otherwise you might find yourself with a very needy toddler who needs constant attention and you'll never get anything done... I think I was always fortunate that Aimee was happy to play alone for a few minutes now and again so I could load the washing machine etc...
I've struck lucky... A friend of mine has a jumperoo in her garage that she's happy to lend us for as long as we needMight work my way round to asking her if she still has the Baby Einstein DVDs... I've shown Caitlyn some footage on youtube and she was quite entranced with it...
And what is it with elderly relatives?! Caitlyn was tired and needed a feed but my Nana insisted on taking her and jiggling her around instead of passing her back when she started to cry, she then got all worked up screaming because she was over hungry and over tired and I couldn't get her to feed at all... Ended up having to take her nappy off to calm her down enough to get her to latch on (there's something about being bare ar5ed that makes her happy every time!)... And all the while my Nana's telling me to give her some cooled boiled water 'to help with the pain in her tummy' She doesn't have a pain in her tummy, she's starving and you're jiggling her when she should be feeding!
Oh and on weaning... I don't plan on weaning Caitlyn until absolutely neccessary... Can't be bothered with all the faff that comes with spoon feeding so she can go straight onto what we're having and do it herself...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

These arrived today.. I don't want to just stick Rhys in front of the TV for a moments peace in the future, but I thought these might be good. Also if he doesn't watch them, I will for ideas on what to do with him and how to teach him things. Couldn't find many reviews on them but what I could find were all 4 or 5 out of 50 -
Hiya! How are you and Liam getting on?
Hi elle, We're getting on just great. He is a little star when it comes to sleeping and feeding so we seem to be bobbing along just fine. ATM he's a sleep and I'm just tidying up in preparation for OH coming home and my girlie friends popping around for cuddles.0 -

I'm home for the night, have hit my tearful day. Actually just very !!!!ed off with the hospital, mainly the security doors to get back into my ward. You press a buzzer and someone answers. Well, last night at 2am and 4am ish I had to wait over 10mins for someone to answer the buzzer and let me in. Given that for the past few nights we have been on 3 hourly feeds and I've been getting maybe 2 solid hours sleep, I am a little bit tired (no chance of sleeping during the day too many people in and out the room, cleaners, medication run, laundry, midwife, expressing equipment person, physio... Anyway, this morning it was one little thing that set me off. Waiting, for 5 mins to get back in, sore as I had to express (mastitis is getting better but I have to pump off the breast she didn't feed from) and this woman walked past and barked 'you have to stay there, I don't know who you are!' and ignored me when I held up my hand with my name tag and said 'I'm a patient', she went in and 2 mins later as she came out, held open the door, held her hand up at me and let someone else in who was in her jammies (she had been for a smoke). It then took another 5 mins or so for me to actually get in. I left special care at 9.35am and by the time I got in it was just after 10am and the dining room was closed so I missed breakfast and had to have peely-wally toast. Sorry for the big rant, just have to get it off my chest! Oh and there is a girl who shuffles non stop past my room, little neddy chavvy thing she is and I just want to scream at her to pick up her bloody feet!
Amber is now off the drip (its still in her hand though) and is now on a billi-bed due to her jaundice.
It all got a bit too much and I had a moment or several. Home for teh night back up at 10am and they have said that she may get up to the ward tomorrow night. I won't hold my breath. It's not helped that at 10 days you get kicked out your room.
Feely, she had a poo yesterday, a nice black one but it wan't as explosive as we had imagined
Breast feeding is going well, boobs are getting better, but her mouth is tiny and my nipples rather huge so getting her to latch on properly is trying, but we get there.
Time to get some pics uploaded
For those of you on my facebook, don't mention that I am home, my mum and her mate are on it and I can't face questions from them. Thanks!0 -
Oh hun, *HUGE HUGS* I remember the crapness of those stupid doors too.
Really hope you get a better nights sleep and some big hugs from your boys xxx0
