Argh, what's wrong with me? Absolutely dead on my feet and I can't drop off... Same thing happened last night, and now hubby's snoring so loud I'm gonna wrap something round his head if he doesntshut up! Caitlyn's going to wake up soon too... She's bound to want a 3am feed if I ever get to sleep :(
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Good morning everyone:)

Erm am I cruel...when Kai wakes up at this silly o clock, I always come down and stick him in his swing, and refuse to feed him his brekkie till 7am:o I am hoping he will eventually learn that 7am is time to get up not 5.45am....Yes I have been up an hour already....I have filled the dishwasher, emptied the washing machine and hung everything on the line and paid some bills:p

Do you all feed your babies as soon as they get up?

    Morning

When Elijah was younger we fed him on waking, for the last few months he's been waking very very early though, and with less desperate hunger. So I usually cruelly leave him in his cot for a while - when possible til after 6.30 (not always possible by any means), as long as he is just being a bit moany but playing with his soft toys. If he starts proper crying I rescue him.

I am not good at being productive that early though! I tend to zombie on the laptop. So well done Mel :p

Are all 0-6mth sleeping bags the same size? Any particular company do smaller than average ones, anyone know?

Can't wait to get Rhys in one. He's sleeping with a sheet and blanket right now but keeps kicking them off within seconds of putting them over him

Elle, nice to see you. I found these that they do a prem size in, dont know if its any use. http://www.baby-sleeping-bags.com/acatalog/Swaddleaze.html

The jumperoo Im watching on ebay is ending in a couple of hours and its at £42 already. Im wondering should I just pay the £66 for a new one from Argos , the 2nd hand one on ebay will probably still go up in price anyway.

That was the dilema I was having Mrs M, so I just bought a new one as I can sell it when done and it will have barely cost a thing, Its arriving today!

Watching me is only slightly naughty most of the time! (not since Bruno Brookes stopped being famous have I had this level of name hassle! :p)

Oh Bruno, I feel for you I really do, especially after watching the movie last night. Have a ((hug)) I can only imagine what you have gone through this past month :D

  • Hi
I don't tend to feed as soon as she wakes up if it's before 6, but anytime after 6 I will - she is never crying for food, just giggling/shouting/chatting to herself. I like to start my days feeds by 7 at the latest as we'd never get into her what she needs by bed time otherwise (I am quite obsessive about it).

Am a bit tired today as for weeks and weeks she's slept from 7ish to 6ish (with a dream feed at 10). Last night she was wide awake after 10 until 1230, not crying - well she would wimper occasionally if she felt abandoned but wide awake and chatty. Hoping for a quiet day today with lots of naps. I know this isn't nearly as bad as lots of people have it either on here or in real life but when it's such a deviation from the norm it really knocks you off kilter!

You do well to get up with him though:)..my dh is useless in the morning, he poked his head round the door earlier, managed a grunt of 'you ok?' and whizzed off back bed:rolleyes: It bugs me sometimes, but he has ALWAYS been like this, I knew this even before we got together.

Elle - I was meant to say last night, Rhys is looking amazing, that pic of him feeding himself is great:D

I am currently trying to make up a recipe folder, so on the two days I am in work dh can attempt dinner...he is ok cooking if he has step by step instructions, whereas I am a whack it in the pan and see what comes out, kinda cook!

Speaking of red books, how often does everyone else get their LOs head circumference and length measured and recorded?
Head circumference: 1st HV visit (10 days)
Length: 1st HV visit and 9 month check (although I do measure her length myself too)

Yes but we always got her up to feed at 7am and once she was a few weeks old I only gave her what was necessary to get her back to sleep in the middle of the night rather than a full feed.

Well Alex decided after 2 days of nearly 7 o'clock wake ups to wait till daddy was away before waking before 6 again
Oh well she's sat in her swing now looking at the dog  Not talking or babbling or anything... just cuddling her Raffi and staring at the sleeping hound on the floor... Think she knows daddy isn't here and that it's not normal?

On that note - he should be just about steaming off out to the fishing grounds... hoping he catches some good stuff as he'll be really miserable if he doesn't :)
