SMEG SMEG SMEG! Just did huge long post - went to reply to hubby on MSN and accidently deleted the lot grrrrr
Right from memory so I might have forgotten some - sorry!
Bruno - don't worry - even without PND I feel the same about my MIL (although I never got on with her that well in the first place...) She hasn't been to see the baby yet and I'm quite happy with that! I prefer MY mum although I doubt I'd feel homesick for my family after a visit... Whilst they do only live in Denmark then that's close enough as far as I am concerned although possibly I'd like my mum and dad and siblings a little closer now I'm getting older and more sedate... Odd how pregnancy makes you see things differently... Before this baby I'd never have said I'd have wanted any of my family closer as I'm VERY independant and whilst we're a close family as in if any one is in trouble we all rally then we're just not the "call every week" kinda family... we only call if we have something to tell people :)

Right my little porker is now 5kgs :j :j So doing well on Mums Gold Top :)
I'm in the middle of packing her bag for going next door as we're off to see Harry Potter tonight wahooo!
Have 6oz of milk so far and will feed her again before we leave and hopefully top up the milk a little more before then too... We should only be gone 4 hours MAX so hoping that should see her through!
I have signed DH and myself up for the gym today so feel good about that! Already have induction booked for tomorrow and aqua aerobics for thursday - go me!
mmmmmm sure there was more but it eludes me just now!

In other news, I built a box. It doesn't sound like much, but DIY is not my forte and it was quite hard! It's a storage bench/toy box for the nursery, and it contained 72 screws, and I have a blister on my palm now :o

Bruno can we see pics? And have a tutorial on how you made it, sounds fab! :T:T:T

    Evening all,

sounds like the boobie picnic went well, I could only see MFD's photos but you all look lovely and very happy :)

I've been a bit preoccupied with projects but I've been lurking and reading. Hugs and muchlove to 3 and to AM. What strong remarkable ladies you both are, I look forward to reading more about how you're coping admirably with what life throws your way :)

susan, welcome back, how was your holiday? :D

emlou are you back online? how is the new place? Look forward to pics x

The projects have been 26 activity cubes (does anyone remember the Mammas and pappas linkie I posted about them? Well they're all done now finally (and sami, please tell your mum I have a bad case of 'sequin finger'! Must get a thimble...)

Also a pair of double lined tab-top curtains for fergie's room. I'm really pleased about this, cos we might not make 6 months of him in with us, but even if we do, he needed something to block out the large streetlamp outside his window!

I was beavering away cos I didn't know how much longer I can borrow my friend's sewing machine for and I didn't want them to be half done :rotfl:

Lots of love to you all,

    Weezl xxx

Saw you lurking earlier weezl ;) Can we see pics of your projects? No way I could ever attempt anything like that, but I love to see others' achievements :D

I've just had a big fry up, thanks to ladybird putting the idea in my head and OH's eagerness to please ;)

I'm back from morisons as yes, it's a box of 9 packs for £7. I couldn't carry 2 packs so just got the one for now......BTW they were on the end of an aisle and it took me ages to find them:rotfl:

I'm the same with my family, but DH's family can't understand it. They think I'm a bit weird. They all live streets from each other and think we should live next to them now we have a family :eek:my worst nightmare:rotfl:

although I agree pregnancy and birth has made me much closer to my mum and I speak and see her more often than I used to. Suddenly her words of wisdom are more often needed and more gratefully received:T

Oh I've been waiting to hear how you got on with them :D Please can we see a picture :T

I made Annabel's roman blind for her room - I couldn't believe how simple it was for a beginner (or rather someone who hadn't done any sewing for years and years:rotfl:)

the 'fatter' side visible in a few of the cubes is cos eack one has a side which scrunchles (new word!) when he touches it, made from recycling carrier bags and sandwiching them between the fabric...

Random question, are you guys offended by the terms 'Natural Parenting' and 'Attachment Parenting'?
    elle_gee wrote: »
I might be if I knew what they meant.. ;) *goes off to google*
:rotfl: I suspect I got more detached and unnatural with each boy. :rotfl:

Although I am the weird child who loves school and used to try to stay at school full time when I was part-time. (My birthday is March so I was part time for the first term.)
DS3 was the same, and made SUCH a fuss about being picked up at lunchtime on the first day that he then ended up going full-time from the start. Until suddenly at Christmas, they did an Assembly at the end of the morning, and he desperately wanted to come home afterwards and NOT stay for the afternoon! Sorry mate, I did warn you ... :rotfl:

It was lovely. Was more work with OH's parents there but worth it. I enjoyed being able to appreciate it as last time I was 4-5 weeks pregnant so didn't actually get to do much. Alice loved it and loved having Grandma and Grandad there. There are quite a few little museums there which is quite nice when you have a small child as they are all quite short and not too expensive so you don't feel you need to be there ages to get your money's worth. (In fact one day Alice was wailing, "Alice more museum." on our way back to the holiday cottage.) I really need to find our camera lead now so I can upload the photos to the computer though as our memory card is full.

My OH can't understand my family because we say things to each other which sound like insults but actually aren't.
