Just me - catching up slowly after a day out!astonsmummy wrote: »Took him to clinic today and he weighs 15lb 8oz!feelinggood wrote: »
AM - Toby is catching up to Ryan, he is 16lb 4oz. His weight gain has slowed back down to normal now, that last growth spurt was a big one.
 Oh my lord ladies I thought Benjamin was a bruiser!! He was 15lb 7 1/2 oz last Wednesday! He is a month older than your pair!!!
Benjamin has dropped down to nearer the 50th centile (from the 75th) though - I am guessing your boys are nearer to the 91st?
My dad is convinced that summer babies grow quicker!! Maybe your boys are proof!!personally it's all semantics tho, I am 'just' a parent, I bring up my children who I feel I should - I suppose if you wanted to give me a label I'd be instict parenting :rotfl:
:T:T:T
Here here!! I think I am instinct parent too...the only thing that I actively try to do (other than to not smother my beautiful boy in kisses!!) is to foster some independence in him - I am terrified of having a clingy baby. This may be because a clingy baby would make it much harder to go back to workplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Ta for the toilet info!
My dad turned up earlier, in full DIY togs, ready to grout my bathroom!Have just let him get on with it and taken him a steady stream of mugs of tea!
OH is clearly on a "making up for his slack tongue" mission. He's cooked my tea, done the washing up, fed Rhys and has been lying on the sofa with him all night, wide awake and just watching tv. He very rarely stays in the living room in the evening, usually in his den.
I've been looking for a B&B for a weekend away. Found a lovely one in Shropshire, near to a place OH is always going on about - used to go there for camping hols when he was [STRIKE]my age[/STRIKE] younger. Was thinking mid-September..0 -
Elle - do you have a debenhams in your town? They're always my 1st choice of loo/baby changing as they are clean and most have a family toilet that has change station mini loo and grown up loo :T 2nd choice is M&S as they are kept clean too
also debs used to (not sure if still do) provide nappy sacks, wipes and newborn nappies
MFD - I never perposefully tried to make Chris independant, in fact I barely let go of him for the first 12 months but as you saw he's pretty happy to go off and do his own thing0 -
Haven't caught up yet but being exhiled to the bedroom now and I can't post links from the iPod so I'll do them now... Here's my little girl having a play on the jungle play gym we borrowed this week...

3 - you don't do you??? now that is madness
but if you ever want to visit.....;)
LOL - 3's daughter Liv was telling us that 3 even hangs curtains out to dry!! Liv was laughing saying you just need to hang them back up to dry them :rotfl:
sami - i love teh colour of your new phil and teds. I've only seen the red ones before - the blue is sooo much nicer
Looking at a P&T MacSmiler???? Anything to tell us???
If a cutie like Christopher comes with it I will have one too!! He said 'Please may I have a carrot stick' to me...ate a bit, decided he had had enough and said 'You have it, thank you'! BLESS!!!
thanks - I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering too. My mum came over yesterday and stayed the night ans ordered me to bed at 10pm. She then took charge of the baby monitor and typically my little madam slept 11 hours straight - proving to us that she can do it!:T I know that teething is a big part of it, so a couple of teething free nights would be great, but I did stock up on more calpol today just in case.....
YAY Baby MacSmiler :Tremoved by me
You don't know how intrigued I am :rotfl:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
ps sami or any of the ladies with new boys who already have the 9-12 month clothes sorted, is there any chance one of you might measure the waist band and bum width of a pair of little boys trousers for me? I'll be your best friend!
ps it's especially 9-12 month size i'm interested insami - i love teh colour of your new phil and teds. I've only seen the red ones before - the blue is sooo much nicer...
I only ended up with the blue one because it was super cheap in the kiddicare sale but I was hoping for a blue one.
P&Ts come in about 10 different colourways don't cha knowMy_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »You don't know how intrigued I am :rotfl:twas a poor taste joke, not PC in the slightest and slightly offensive

Evening all
Weezl - Those cubes and curtains are fab:D I wish I had the patience to do something like that.
Elle - I have been caught twice, desperate for a wee while out shopping on my own. The first time Ds1 was a baby, I used the disabled toilets, The second time he was toddling, so i took him in the cubicle and left the buggy outside the door. I hate using public toilets so will usually hold on till I get home.
Enjoy Harry Potter Tine:)
There doesn't seem to be any sign of 3, I hope she is OK!!

oh I've just discovered the most ingenius idea!
I got Ed some lil trews in tesco today, washeds them and was just putting them on the maiden when I noticed that on the back they don't have a normal seam up the middle, they have a triangele of fabric so they are shaped around a nappy :T hopefully they will look fab - I do hate how baby pants are usually all baggy to make room for nappies!
Also BFing mum's did you know the NHS have a website to check if medication is safe its the Drugs in Lactation Advisory Service0
