Oh yeah finally found Courgette recipe... I tend to make it off by heart

    HERE IS THE RECIPE
    60g raisins
    250g courgettes(grated)
    2large eggs
    125ml vegetable oil
    150g sugar
    225g s.r.flour
    1/2 tsp bicarb of soda
    1/2 tsp baking powder
Preheat oven to 180 C or gas mark 4
soak the raisins to plump them up in warm water. drain the grated courgettes to remove excess water. Put eggs, oil, sugar in a bowl and beat to a cream. Add , thru a sieve, flour, bicarb and baking powder and continue to beat until combined. Now stir in courgette and drained raisins Pour the mixture into loaf tin and bake for about an hour and half or until light bown/golden or squewer comes out clean. Let the cake stand for about 10 mins to cool in tin then turn out onto a cooling wire until cold.

Anybody want a 12 year old? He's got up in a one hell of a bad mood and I don't know why :(
Only if you have my 17 yo next time he is in a strop. He's bigger than me.

Now he's rang my Mam, so my Mam is all over him and thinks he's right and I'm a crap Mam for punishing him
When I was little, we used to live in a 3 storey house with grandma in the basement. I was often banned from going to see her after I'd been naughty but I used to sneak down anyway.

It's getting my Mam involved that has riled me the most! I wouldn't care but when I was little, discipline was very strict and I lived in fear of getting told off because we used to get hit with stuff. Mam used to wear Scholl sandles with wooden soles instead of slippers and I've had that belted off my backside a few times :o Yet when mine misbehave, somehow I end up being the baddy for telling them off
Does she listen when you talk to her about this? Remind her that she only knows what HE is telling her, and in your house, it's your rules. If he doesn't like that, would she like to take him on?

Is he the eldest, or the middle? I know my eldest always felt VERY hard done by, even though he probably got away with more than anyone else.

He's calmed down now and said sorry, but the punishment still stands. We're all going to have a family chat later on and draw up some house rules and punishments, and a rota for the xbox to try and prevent further drama's :D
    That's a good plan.

Am I doing the right thing letting DS2 wear pants? 1 week till I should be getting induced (or a c section), but he has been asking and bringing them down to wear. Maybe just stick to him wearing them at home and see if he has actually got any sensations yet?
I think if he's asking, let him. If it works, great. If it works but all goes to pot when baby arrives, not a problem.

Afternoon all - in a bit if shock here. We were all set to go to a wedding on Saturday, and I just got a call from the brides sister to say it is off  I don't know details (didn't like to ask... I'm sure she will tell me in due course when she is ready, or the grapevine will do it's job) Don't want to mention it on facebook or anywhere, as obviously it's not my place to be telling people who don't know yet, but thought I'd tell you guys, as you aren't real ;) I feel terrible for them. Whatever the situation, it must be horrible to get this far before the wedding before having to call it off :( I'm feeling a bit shakey now! Time for some chocolate I think.

In other news, have slept for most of the morning, so I've not been very productive at all. Have washed up, and scraped a bit of the excess sealant from the back of the worksurface. And that's all. So must get on with my lunch then crack on. At least I can get on with the kitchen/living room on Friday afternoon now!

Oh, and i've had an e-mail from my boss asking when I want time off over Christmas. Like I'd thought that far ahead ;) I had to call the nursery to check when they are closed, and I was the first person to ask about it, so she had to go and find out and call me back. At least she knows for next time!

My friends that bf toddlers have reliably informed me that they only bite when their teeth are coming through and then they stop. Particularly if you deal with any biting properly :-) So, I wouldn't worry too much!

How do you deal with biting properly?
My Mum said just try very hard not to jump and scream. They seem to find causing you to yell very amusing and often try and do it again!

Ah ... that's what I try to do (well, try not to do) when she pulls my hair. It's hard not to react sometimes though!

    :D

Joshua is about 2 inches smaller than me. But he's very skinny so I could sit on him and squash him :rotfl:

She doesn't listen full stop! That causes problems too. When she gets too bad, I go and speak to my Dad. I can have a proper conversation again along the lines of "arrrggh she's at it again....." and he sorts things out.
Is he the eldest, or the middle? I know my eldest always felt VERY hard done by, even though he probably got away with more than anyone else.

He's the eldest. He does get more as he's older. He's had a phone with top-ups for ages but James only got his recently, and he gets monthly pocket money as he goes swimming and stuff with friends and they have a tuck shop at school. James just plays out and doesn't spend anything and doesn't have a tuck shop at school, so he doesn't get pocket money. I've said he can have it when he starts secondary school though as that's when Joshua started getting it and James is happy with that.

This week there are sports activities on in the ball court in the park near our house for 6-11 year olds and it's all free. James brought the leaflet home and picked what he wanted to do and I filled the form in for him. Joshua thinks that it's grossly unfair that he's getting to do stuff, even though Joshua does plenty of stuff without him! I think that might have something to do with this morning's tantrum.
Here I go again on my own....

well baby has been very good today :D Mummy hasn't - I actually haven't done anything other than play on here and play with baby. I did manage a shower and get dressed, but baby was sick on the nice newly cleaned and ironed clothes! Oh well......

I have a mamoth list to get through - but I think most will keep until tomorrow. Although I have to go to the shop this afternoon as we have run out of toothpaste and even used the emergency tube aswell (blaming hubby for not telling me to buy more ;) )

off to play with the baby walker now :D the sink is calling me, but i'm ignoring it!
