He is a complete softie when it comes to Rhys! ;)
I think he's treating Rhys as a "second chance" as he wasn't around much when I was little - was/still is a workaholic and used to work somewhere a few hours away from home so was always up before us and back after our bedtime. Both Dad and Mum are chomping at the bit to look after Rhys for an hour/day/weekend! :o

My Dad worked long hours when me and my brother were little, and then when my boys were little. He works part time afternoons now as does my Mam. I work mornings so they both look after Charlotte. He been amazed by her development and keep getting excited by tiny little things as it's all new to him. Charlotte prefers being with him and if my Mam wants to pop to the shops or something, she says "no want to stay with Grandad" :D
OMG SB I've just read your signature how flippin heavy was Jamie???? did you deliver naturally? OUCH

Charlotte would have been approx 10½ to 11lb had I gone to term! She arrived 4 weeks prem and was still a hefty 7lb 3oz.
Here I go again on my own....

taking husband to the vet's a bit extreme, MrsT, whatever he's done to annoy you. :rotfl:

Are you sure?? Drat... best cancel his appointment then ;) On an amusing note my mate has a sticker in the back of her car saying "Don't tailgate - castration is part of my job!"
MrsT She'll be fine, and you have to take the plunge sometime. In my opinion it was better sooner rather than later and I think that is what contributed to her sleeping better, she didn't have daddy snoring in her lug all night...... You will get use to it give it a few nights you'll wonder what you were worrying about. I now only check her just before I go to bed. Hope you get some sleep x x

ETA I've just read your post bout your kitty kat hope hes ok, let us know on here coz I'll prob forget to check that other post (((((kitty kat hugs)))))

Kitty update will be posted soon as I know anything... - I promise :)

Alexandra... I'm sure SHE'LL be fine... it's ME I'm worried about :) She looks so tiny in her cot bed and so vulnarable! :o Probably not helping that hubby has chosen today when I'm already a bit stressed and now worried about the cat etc to want to put her down in there... If he'd picked a day when I was feeling a bit more top form then it probably wouldn't have bothered me as much... Just feel like bursting into tears - have done all day... actually it started last night after hubby drifted off... started thinking about my nan and missing her... head doing odd things... *sigh* gonna go and TRY to sleep I think... Gonna be tough... *DEEP sigh*

Savvy-That is one of my tactics;) to get dh to agree to baby 4.... I used only child syndrome to get ds2, not sure what combined him in the end to agree to baby 3 but even before he agreed I kept telling him we can't stick at 3 cos of middle child syndrome :)
I am not sure how much it would apply in this case though because ds1&2 are close in age and are joined at the hip.... But then a sizeable gap, so also keep saying if we don't have another ds3 will grow up like an only child!!!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

LOL - I was just about to say that we put Benjamin in his own room at about 12 weeks and it was the best thing for all of us! I didn't sleep for the first few nights - kept waking up and laying awake staring at the little green light on the monitor - but it was when we all started to get a good nights sleep (the last few days have by far been the exception!)

Having thrush has turned my DD into an eating machine now that she is better - Daktarin Gel is our friend.

She also discovered how to open the fridge last week so when she is constantly asking to be let into the kitchen so that she can have her olives!

I think she got very hungry last week when all she could eat was yoghurt, mashed banana, fromage frais or ice cream.

Allowing Katie to assist in the hair washing process has helped us - she loves rubbing shampoo into her hair and rinsing it off - however saying that it never has been a battle as she loves being in water.

Hair drying is another matter, I just sit her on our bed give her a quick rub and if she's up for it a quick blast with the hair dryer (on cold) her various toys join in. No matter what I do with it she'll look like Einstein in the morning!

I usually wash my hair every 2-3 days as it starts to look greasy after 3 days. When I've been ill, I know I'm feeling better when I want to get in the shower and wash my hair :D

Charlotte really hates having her hair washed. She screams her head off in the bath and you'd think I was torturing her with the noise she makes. She also hates having her hair towel dried and her arms and legs are thrashing about trying to get rid of me with the towel. I've now perfected the art of wrapping her in a big towel like a straightjacket and perching on the loo seat with her jammed between my thighs, so I can get her hair towel dried and keep her limbs still. She still screams her head off though :o
I just don't understand why they don't trust us  I tell Chris to put his head back so the soap doesn't get in his eyes but as soon as the water hits his head he drops it
I have a towel poncho for chris and just give his hair a rub under the hood then use the hair dryer, both boys love the hair dryer!

Ooo - I can't wait until I can get Benjamin eating more exotic foods than his daddy!!

...really fancy some olives now but the only ones I have are heavy on the garlic and may well prevent hubby fancying me :o
