NOONE argues with my Dad..
Come to think of it, he's a Captain and Dock Master in charge of a (well, 4) shipping ports.. he's probably threatened quite a few people with drowning in his time! _pale_

Well whilst I had 45 minutes at the gym (go team!) DH put Alexandra in her cot, sat with her for alledgedly an hour (being as I was actually less than an hour in total that's obviously an exageration...) and then left her still awake and she's now fast asleep... I'm not sure how I feel about her being in her own room and not next to me in her basket
on the one hand I'm loving that she might allow me a nights sleep... on the other I doubt I'll sleep because I'll worry as I can't hear her little mini snores
I don't want her away from me yet
hubby thinks I'm being silly... says she won't come to any harm in there and the baby monitor is so sensitive we can hear it in our room if she lifted her pinkie...

He is a complete softie when it comes to Rhys!
I think he's treating Rhys as a "second chance" as he wasn't around much when I was little - was/still is a workaholic and used to work somewhere a few hours away from home so was always up before us and back after our bedtime. Both Dad and Mum are chomping at the bit to look after Rhys for an hour/day/weekend!0 -
I have to wash my hair everyday too. It would take more of an effort for me to choose not to wash it whilst in the shower as its something I've always done, and bits of facewash would end up in my hairline anyway! :rotfl:.
Poppy hates having hers washed so its the first thing DH does when she is in the bath and then there is lots of fun and play in the hope she forgets about her trauma! I bought this from Mothercare but it makes not one jot of difference .

MrsT She'll be fine, and you have to take the plunge sometime. In my opinion it was better sooner rather than later and I think that is what contributed to her sleeping better, she didn't have daddy snoring in her lug all night...... You will get use to it give it a few nights you'll wonder what you were worrying about. I now only check her just before I go to bed. Hope you get some sleep x x
ETA I've just read your post bout your kitty kat hope hes ok, let us know on here coz I'll prob forget to check that other post (((((kitty kat hugs)))))Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
Forget hair shields, buy a pair of swimming goggles. Let them play with them around the house then wear them in the bath as a treat!Too many children, too little time!!!0

Indeed I did!
With a little help from gas and air. He was born within 2 hours of my waters breaking.
A far cry from the extremely long and traumatic emergency forceps arrival of Poppy.
