Redmel - gaming is much more fun when you have someone watching you! OH often got annoyed at me making him watch replays of things I'd done. Is there somewhere a bit more communal the boys could play, but not in the way? As a kid, I had the NES in the backroom. Enough so I wasn't out of the way, but didn't annoy my parents too much. Can't believe the Gadget show though, saying the iPhone is a betting handheld gaming device that the DS or the PSP.

Haha, that was my thoughts really, they just want to be 'watched' while playing. It is role reversal here tho, I get sick of dh trying to 'force' me watch his achievements on the PS3!! I am not into games at all:p
I have an iphone, I would happily trade it in a heartbeat.....I rushed into getting it, but now don't really like it.

Lube - Durex play is often on BOGOF and you can get a cold version and a hot version. It makes things a bit more interesting :o

Durex Play Tingle... made OH very angry with me  after it caused comic cat-on-hot-coals dancing from her afterwards :o suffice to say that quantity and application might want some care, different people have different tolerances, and it takes a while to reach maximum effect

I know where you are coming from Feely.

People have said to us that Benjamin is gorgeous and we should get him signed up - our neighbour actually calls him 'Model Baby' but TBH I can't think of anything worse.

How stressful would it be to have a ton of people standing around trying to get your child to 'perform' and getting pee'd off that they are wasting their time if all your baby wants to do is feed / sleep / cry / play / look at something else.

Although if he was having a day like he is having today I would happily dump him and leave him for an hour or two ;)

And yes, that was really exactly it for OH, once she was there and realised how it's really an "industry" and the baby is a "commodity" and - etc. Just not fair at all on the baby, and no fun for you either. However, different strokes - some people really get into it and I don't expect babies take any lasting harm from it at this sort of age!
I have to just say that it's not all like that, When Chris had his test shoot thing there was only him, me and a photographer in the room, He was just allowed to play with toys they gave him and see if he would respond to them asking him to look at the camera (which he did happily)

I've also been involved with photo shoots when I worked at Zorbit and that was similar there were usually about 5 adults plus the children/babies and their carers, I suppose it depends on how good the company are and probably TV stuff is worse because they need to have more people for sound lighting etc..

See that sounds sooooo much nicer, I guess it really depends on the company! Keep us updated Mrs T!

You lot have really made me laugh, particularly Mrs Bruno and the tingling :rotfl:
Got letter from Mental Health team, have been discharged. Not suprised really, too worried about losing LO to be honest.

The thing is Feelie as long as you and Toby are safe then afaik you stay together. I know we have different histories but they just kept an eye on us, my doctor and hv both saw me regularly and updated each other in between.

Do you get on with your doctor? It worthwhile having a chat to her about your concerns.

What part? The wanting to share my beautiful baby with the world? The wanting to put anything she might earn into a savings account for her future? Sorry but I don't see what is distasteful? I'm not planning on forcing her into doing anything and she actually loves being out and about and meeting people. If she turned out not to enjoy it then regardless of whether or not she was offered more work then do you really think I'd try it again???
It's not like I'm sending her off to the work house or the mines!
I think a lot probably depends on how you view it in terms of the overall modelling industry (and your views on modelling in general) and on the reasons why people do it (e.g. you might have good reasons for doing it but some parents may do it for themselves rather than for the child and this affects other people's view of it). Personally I wouldn't want my child doing modelling because I assosciate modelling with placing too high an importance on appearance and although obviously that is not such big thing with babies, I would not want to assosciate myself with it. It doesn't mean I think anyone doing it is immoral but it is just not something I would feel comfortable doing myself.
