When I open Benjamins fingers there is always carp in between them and the fluff between his toes is chronic and he puts both in his mouth as often as possible (although big bro likes to pick the fluff out from between his toes :rotfl:)
My mum says that you sterilise bottles to make sure that there is no leftover milk in them and I sterilise stuff for that reason only. Once it has gone through the steriliser that is enough for me...I put the bottles together, close them up and use them when I get around to it!!
Just call me bad mummy with a dirty baby :rotfl:
I don't bath him every day either
Yep that's the only reason I still sterilise them:)
:rotfl:at big bro and little bro, having fluff extraction sessions:D
I don't bath Kai every night either...Use to with ds1 when he was a baby, but then d2 came along and I ran out of time!!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

I am going to bed.
I have been feeling awful all day. Headache, tired, weak, aching, sore throat. Could be a bit of a hangover, although I only had 2 vodka and cokes so doubt it, more likely that on top of the 2 drinks I had NO sleep....my little monkey had me going in to him about a million times....Hoping it is not some kind of flu, swine or otherwise...I haven't time to be ill.

Benjamin had me up 3 times in the night too - I am sincerely hoping that the nights of 11, 12 or 13 hours sleep aren't gone for long
I can't cope like this anymore!
I still think Benjamin is suffering after his injections, he hasn't really been himself all week.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Em - I think between you and your OH you need to decide on a plan - I think Bruno and his missus did the controlled crying and it seemed to work? Maybe Bruno can remind us?
Personally I'd go with the softer option of having him in the cot next to you but it's your baby and you need to do what you can cope withI don't know that I could hack loads of screaming with the cold turkey method...
Em, sorry to hear it's being so bad, really is very stressful at those sorts of level! We waited until a couple of weeks ago before trying CC, so Elijah was 11 months, not sure how much difference that makes. It seemed to be massively successful by only the second night, which was nice!
However, the last 4 days or so he's been battling a cold and teething, and nights have been bad again. Not anything we can really apply CC to, just whimpering and groaning and being awake, not screams and sobs, but up at least 3 times a night. That's the way it goes.
I can't wholeheartedly recommend CC, because it still feels very uncomfortable to me, but it's one more viable option that obviously does work for some babies and some parents.
Other people have reported great success by being rigorous with the baby whisperer's pick-up put-down method, and with Elizabeth Pantley's No-Cry Sleep Solution method, too. I think part of it is finding what's right for you and your baby, part of it is being consistent with the tot whatever you're doing. And part of it unfortunately is time passing and baby developing!
Caz, really sorry you're feeling so downyou're doing the right thing in recognising it and trying to get support though. I know MSE are here for you but hopefully you're getting real flesh-and-blood support too. We're always here to listen if you need someone.
