I know this as a creel my Nana had one. In older houses they are great as they can be hoisted out of the way but the clothes still get to dry/air. They lived in the West Riding ;)

I have one! I call it a clothes airer!!! :D
Got mine from my Grandad's house when he died earlier this year. My mum remembers it from when she was a little girl. My dad cleaned it all up and painted it white for me and its been so useful drying indoors when its rainy and doesn't use up any floor space.

DD2 seems to have woken up...was hoping she's sleep 'til 4pm but no such luck.

Better get her up rather than fly....oh well....disappointed I can't fly now but what can I do?:rotfl:
  • Hi

I am so sorry that I am not really following the lists - I will do but cannot yet see the floor to do any cleaning - so I have decided that I will stop saying I will do them until i have at least made a large dent in the decluttering - should I stop posting on here???

I hope not because I do find that I am more motivated by others on here and also it has taught me not to worry quite so much that I am not up to their mark - IYSWIM

I have been busy in the last hour - I did
    • finished HHC in kitchen
    • 1 load in WM - but can't get to the back door to hang it out:o:o:o - by the time I can the rain will probably be here
    • continued to sort built in cupboard in LR -
    • also pulled out excess from the coal shed so that I can reach the shelves
    • have binned - 81 magazine and brochures collected when i was training 2 years ago:eek::eek::eek:
    • 2 large training mauals that i dont need
    • about 100 pages of notes from the course
    • Have also started a charity bag with an audio tape holder a jigsaw puzzle and an old beach bag and 2 pairs of trousers
I have then gathered up all the profession magazines that i want to keep into the now emptied magazine holders and have found room for them in the coal shed.
On the one cleared shelf I have stacked all the games - most of which need to be sold on ebay - but this did empty 1 large bag from the LR floor and one of the same size from the coal shed.

Jo - well done on staying strong and in control, hope you are able to sort out the housing benefit etc tomorrow

Tooti - I don't tend to try for the stars - I use the lists as a starting point and adapt to suit me but not necessarily trying to substitute with comparable jobs. So as I have only ever bothered to claim one star, my lack of stars this week will not have affected the statistics compared to previous weeks :rotfl::rolleyes: Point taken re weekends, have done more in the week this last week and it is much better.

I will however claim 2 hearts please
My 5 for the week are:
    1. Download photos & contacts from mobiles
    2.[STRIKE] Order compost bin[/STRIKE] Done
    [STRIKE]3. Order for next week[/STRIKE][STRIKE]
    [/STRIKE] Done
    4. Outstanding letters & e-mails
    5. [STRIKE]Replace mirror in lounge with picture but need help, mirror is now off the wall [/STRIKE] Can't do - the picture I had in mind doesn't work. So instead I've taken the curtains down and they will go on Freecycle this week (before OH is back in a week to disagree, it is not my fault we can't communicate by e-mail this time and he won't ring until probably Wed when it will be too late!!!) When OH is back the mirror will be re-located to bedroom - we tried it there yesterday and it looked good but unfortunately BIL didn't volunteer to start drilling ...!! Need to contact decorator tomorrow to do the living room - cheeky sis said "will look better with a white ceiling", me "isn't it white", response "I've seen whiter" Shall price up roman blinds when I get back - have to go on a 28 mile round trip as left my memory stick in computer at client's on Friday and only realised late yesterday, ooops
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli

Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board
