gratefulforhelp wrote: »jo your ex should be paying. I think given what has just happened, you should give him a choice to pay voluntarily, and then if he wont then go to CSA.Good point - definitely something you should add to your list Jo. As there is clearly no risk of causing any damage to his relationship with your LO, hopefully you've got nothing to lose by being tough here (and it might be a good outlet for some of your energy while waiting for the other stuff to resolve itself!)
Ive been through this so many times over the past 7 years, its pointless. It will cause me so much more stress and upset than I want or need and it will be a completely pointless exercise.
He will pay me nothing off his own back. I have been through the CSA and in 7 years have managed to get me a whole £70!!!
Everytime the CSA catch up with him, he signs on, works on the side, but then asks the DSS for a crisis loan. They deduct the money from his benefit to repay the loan first, and then as that takes him under the minimum required that HE is entitled to live off, they are unable to deduct any of the CSA payments.
So it will be stress and drama and I will get nothing anyway.Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Hi everyone, I haven't been around for a few days as I have been keeping DH company. He isn't well but don't think it is flu. He had some more teeth out on Thursday and is really out of sorts. He does suffer from depression but has been doing really well this last year. I have found it easer to keep him company and not use the laptop for a couple of days.
Kids are going out to a family barbecue but he doesn't want to go as he can't chew.
Mince again for dinner today!!
jjef Please give my bestest wishes to toots
gratefulfor help do you have lots of books etc for DD1 in church. I used to take mine with a different mix of books each week to keep them quiet. As for tidying toys we used to make a game of it , ie a race to see who can fill a box first. First to pick up 10 things (when they can count!) I had 4 under five so we had to come up with ideas to get them to help.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

God bless, dusty and mrsbeatson for your support. dusty DD1 is six and a half, and too old for tantrums, but had a sleepover last night with her friend, and so is exhausted, still in bed now.
Still DH is beavering away clearing the dogshelf, proof that there is life after the morons, bless him. Not all men are like that. Morons I mean.
eta Goodness poohbear you had your hands full. Great suggestions from everyone, thanks. Our church is brilliant and has a toybasket, but DD1 is too old for it, and DD2 likes to deliver loud lectures on the toys and what they are doing! Good thing the vicar is cool...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Thifty - maiden (Lancs dialect word)
a maiden is a clothes airer or clothes horse. As I come from Lancashire we call THAT a maiden (although Dusty has aquired the term, from here from Northern flyladies). So when I iron I keep going until I fill my maiden hence a maidenful...
I know this as a creel my Nana had one. In older houses they are great as they can be hoisted out of the way but the clothes still get to dry/air. They lived in the West RidingOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
I would call it a "sheila's maid" we have one and its fab. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Afternoon all! Decided earlier that my list was ridiculous and I need to start again next week. So, this is a revised list of essentials for me to complete today. So far, one load of washing is on the line, and another has just finished in the machine. I have also been through all the favourites on the computer and deleted / sorted into folders as appropriate.
Weekend Wist- S&S kitchen
- S&S bathroom
- Find 140 things to throw in the bin!
- Strip the bedding and replace... BEFORE bedtime!!!
- Fill a binbag for charity shop
- HH-filing / shredding

Jo - glad you had a good evening; your friends all sound great for helping you out and looking for jobs; well done for being so strong and getting organised
greenbee - glad the cake went down well; what did you do in the end?
Tilli-Tot - hugs; hope things get sorted soon
jjef - give our love to Toots please
Dusty - did you not rush out and buy that piece of music to play regularly at home
grateful - does your church not have a Sunday School or some sort of activity for the children?
Jobsite: I had never heard of them until earlier in the week when they were announced as new sponsors for Pompey! They are local to me and I'm quite pleased to see them getting lots of recommendations on here.
It's getting a bit dark here now so think I should go and check the washing before the heavens open!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
