We had a bit of a morning in today. My daughter amused herself by taking lots of photos of her cuddly toys doing different things (ie drinking tea, on a skate board, in bed, in the fridge!). We printed them out and cut them up and made a story book telling a story involving all her favourite toys. Kept her happy all morning and cost very little! :j0

Oh my goodness thats genius. I am going back to page one of this thread and making a list of things to entertain my 2 older ones!!
Does anyone have older children + a baby? I find it so hard keeping them ALL entertained, its like mission impossible.
We are having a lazy day today after being out for the last 3 days - its glorious outside and they have been in the paddling pool. Baby got soaked and miserable after 10 mins though...:o0 -
We've had a fantastic morning! We did forset school today, and we made dens, roasted marshmallows and cooked toast, kids learnt tons about nature and we really really enjoyed, hoping to do another before the school hols are over x:A :j0

I've been at work today and then when we got home the kids preferred to play out with their friends but we are going to the library soon.
We went to Alton Towers yesterday on the train and bus - made it a bit more of an adventure and had a really good day - however, I am really tired today from it. My two are 4 and 6 and love it - plenty to see and do. We was there from when it opened at 10 until 6pm.
I am really looking forward to 3 days off work with them next week.0 -
Card making today. Turned out to be quite expensive as we had to get a few bits and pieces from Staples (if I had been more organised could have done it cheaper). We also went to a Cafe for lunch - kids thoroughly enjoyed that!0

We had a fab day at the beach yesterday and the weather was gorgeous. I hadn't expected to be in the sea, so I ended up buying some mens swimshorts from the inflateable crocodile shop
It took 90 mins to get to Rhyl from the midlands by train, I hadn't expected it to be so fast and easy. It's harder than that to get to alton towers, warwick castle etc. by train/bus, and those are much close by car.52% tight0 -
I have rounded up all the kids on the street and found some old chimneys to push them up...........Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

LOL @ Backpool saver. Holiday boredom has set in here for last few days, have been more restricted in where we go due to a light coming on on my car, was going to book it into garage, but hubby says he'll look at it first.
I can understand the kids, they have done a lot so far this hols and normally this phase sets in long before the end of week 4! In the usual way I'd now have just 1 full week left of them at home, the following would be broken up by hubby being off for the BH and they'd return the following week. Cos of the way the hols have fallen this year there's still 3 weeks left to go. Am really glad we are going away for last week though!
I checked on their school uniform today, but a combination of some stuff still being good enough to wear, buying the loogo'd stuff already and getting other items early, means I'm ony really needed some trousers for ds and a couple of bits for their PE kits, plus shoes.0
