Before anyone goes and hoists a brick through the aforementioned addresses' windows, bear in mind that sometimes scammers will just use any name and address they've picked at random to give an air of credibility. The scammer may have nothing at all to do with the address and the occupants may even be unaware their address is used in such a way.

Good point - in fact a comment on this page (no idea if it is genuine or not of course) says:
"I live at 31 Arden Close, Bradley Stoke, Bristol. This is a private house. We are also victims of this scam. Our address has been hijacked and used without our permission."
    http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/trading-planet-ltd--life-cleanse-tablets-c239694.html?sort=datea&page=6

"I am a director of Ordman House Ltd. We are also victims of this scam. We run a legitimate business helping small companies and some of them use our address as their Registered Office. In this case, our address has been used without our permission for shipping products and as a "return address". It has given us huge problems. We do not sell or ship products. We do not take people's credit card details. We are not involved in the business that has caused all these problems. Packages that we have received have been forwarded to Trading Planet Ltd, PO Box 13579, Unit 5, Mill Road Industrial Estate, Linlithgow, EH49 9AH.
Please report the matter to the police as we have done (Crime No. AS2009 0908/0271 ). We are happy to help the police or other authorities to do whatever they can to stop this scam. Derrick."

just as a side note, a lot of the colon cleansers are actually a big scam. a company called blessed herbs do one, if you do a search for the name and scam, it'll give you loads of info about it. the gist is the stuff you drinks is actually kind of like a jelly, it semi-sets in the colon and the weird goo that you 'pass' is basically like a jelly mould of your colon NOT any bad stuff, plaque or anything else.

mix the stuff up leave it in a glass and go back a few hours later and you'll see what i mean :)

as i'm new i can't post a link but search for mucoid plaque scam

i guess ultimately if it makes soemone feel better and healthier, and they ahve the cash then no harm done to a certain extent, but in my opinion it's not exactly highly rating in the money saving stakes, especially at £75+ a pop (or should that be poop?). maybe better sticking with the 5 a day, exercise, and eating fresh cooked meals instead of pre-prepared c**p full of additives.
  • There is another different address for Life Cleanse here:

    Impressum:
    LB Eridanus Entertainment Ltd.
    118 Fines Park
    Annfield Plain, Stanley, Co Durham
    DH9 8QZ
    UK
    http://www.effectivecleanse.com/frontend/join/impressum/site/4315#utm_source=none&utm_medium=none&utm_term=none&utm_content=Effective+Cleanse+Antioxidant

Interesting that they use the word 'Impressum':

The Impressum on a website includes information that many German websites must disclose about their publishers under the Telemediengesetz.[2] This includes their name and address, telephone number or e-mail address, trade registry number, VAT number, and other information depending on the type of company.[3]

Thank you thank you thank you - I was a gnats away from putting in my credit card details when I thought I'd search MSE to see if it was any good!!!! Thank heavens I did.
  • I managed to get my money back from them: the £150 they took for 2 "free" samples. I rang and emailed, despite receiving emailed replies which said that there was no-one at that email address (their customer service one) and also being told that I should have cancelled my account by phone instead of by email. I repetitively told them that I had cancelled my account within the allocated time and since they hadn't informed me that this was wrong (no emailed reply to tell me that they weren't manning that address) that they had taken the money deceptively and that it was theft. They weren't helpful, and it took about 6 weeks, but I documented everything and was overwhelmed when they finally responded!

Perseverance is always rewarded! Hope anyone who's fallen foul of these crooks' schemes manages to get their money back.
  • Good article here exposing even more info on these Life Cleanse cowboys:
