I'm loving the whirldwind YM!!! :D

    So far today I've,

    Got up
    Made coffee
    Made kids drinks and breakfast
    Sat down
    Pooter on
Still not tipped wine, will do so in a minute

Need to get up and get out, think I might take the kids to the park to wear them out a bit, then DS needs to start his holiday homework, needs to make a butterfly poster, so maybe we'll start that this arvo, might make some cakes

Oh, and....corned beef hash mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    xx

Dont you just love the Holiday Homework

Corned Beef hash has to have brown sauce on it to taste "Proper" and cold beans....Yum :D

Use that for the basics and just really add whatever is to hand at the time ie peas, sweetcorn etc. Just a basic one today though

Just going to heat it up I think as it will soon be lunch and My DD's cannot eat the same as me or even each other so cafe time at Chez Monkey with 3 meals to prepare/open:D

    Hi all,

Thanks so much for your warm welcome :D

It was with a great deal of trepidation that I finally posted, I can tell you. It was difficult reading back what I had written. As you say, admitting things have become bad and out of control is not easy. Putting my drinking demons to the back of my mind, whilst pouring myself a quadruple measure of voddy is much easier!

I will definitely join the August alcohol free days thing - an attainable goal to focus on, together with your support, it just what I need right now.

My "danger time" is evenings between 5.30pm - 8pm, when I get home from work - that's when I want a drink the most. Funnily enough, if it gets past 8pm and I haven't had a drink, I generally don't bother so much.

So I am going to plan one "fun" thing to do every evening when I get in, to distract me - whether that be going for a walk if the weather is nice, watching a film with some munchy snacks, playing a word game with my OH (we like doing things like that!) and so on. Hopefully that will help.

I do need to deal with my Saturday and Sunday booze fests, but as you have said, I should take things one step at a time!

Thanks for your help already. I am feeling positive :T and that's a good start.

    Hugs
    Caz

I think I might make the CB hash tonight, got tons of potatoes to use up.

Just tipped the wine, I'd drunk over half of it on top of 5 cans of stella, no wonder I wasn't feeling 100% this morning

Popping down to Mr T's now to get some shopping in for my dear ole mum, she's not at all well, been ill for a week now, I think she's got swine flu but she insists that it's not, said she didn't have the temperature but then she caught herself out on Wednesday talking to a friend saying that it started with a high temperature  she knew she'd put her foot in it, so finally after a week of her taking 2 nurofen plus every 4 hours (she NEVER takes tablets, like ever!), I've told her if she doesn't get an appt for the doc then I'm going round there and taking her to the surgery. She rang me back 5 minutes later to say she's got an appt at 3.15pm :D

They say that swine flu is very dangerous in people over 65......she's 78 in a few weeks

So I'm off to Mr T's to pick up some bits and I'll get the kids to pick her something yummy for afters and a plant or summat :)

Orange squash is freezing up nicely in the freezer, I've took it out for a while till I get back, don't want a frozen jubbly but a bottle full of icy bits of squash :D

    See ya later
