  • Hi there folks just popped by to say I am now a new mummy again!

Myles Alexander Abraham was born at 2.45pm on Friday 14th August weighing 9lb 12.5oz

I am completely teetotal at the moment as I am breastfeeding :)

Hope everyone is ok, lots of love

    Shoppy xxx

Congrats Shoppy, gorgeous name to have chosen. My DS2 was 8lbs and that was bad enough

Forgot to say (or rather, confess). the worst thing about August & af-ness wasn't the small number of afd's I had, it was the amount I drank on every other day. Not one day was sensible or moderate drinking, so goodness knows how my system is going to react to the sudden deprivation. Hopefully by losing half a stone in a week (I wish). tum rumbling....

I laughed at the one runner bean...really? I've stopped buying crisps. A good thing because the kids shouldn't get them anyway and it stops me raiding the cupboards in the evening after wine. If I'm peckish I've started having ryvita with low fat humous. It's really tasy and surely less fattening. Heard on the radio this morning that regularly having one bottle of wine in a day adds 4 inches to the waist. No kidding!!! I used to be slim thing.....not so much anymore ;)

Um slides in - admits not AF last night (2 small cans wine - yup specially purchased at 9.30 - if I had left it half an hour I would have had no opportunity) - slides out - need to try harder - YM those eyes gave me nightmares last night. Rubbish nights sleep feeling a bit bleurgh today - however - Onwards to the naughty step for me.

No excuses here stressed for work but to be honest I'd be stressed or not stressed and find an excuse - out for tea tonight and driving so will leave purse at work and be onwards AF - hopefully til the end of the month.

Morning to you all - I like and respect the honesty here so no point in my not 'fessing up.

Slides off to naughty step.................xx well done to those on day 1 AF :)

You can get off the naughty step now X (((hugs)))

1 AF for me please YM

I was tempted when I first got home. But I insisted on doing bath time with the boys, then stories. Mr FH prepared our dinner and then once I had eaten the bells had stopped. I find if I'm full, I'm less bothered.

Jo~watched BB after your rundown of the show yesterday. Yaaay to Lisa going but who will win? I think I would like to see Rodrigo win. He's sweet, with a hot temper. That whole thing he has with the Queen is so funny.

Mr FH was back to his normal self last night thank goodness. He'll hopefully get the e-mail to confirm everything today. No doubt he will still worry a little bit until he gets it in writing. I'm confident that everything will be okay. So confident in fact that I think I'll go out at lunch time and buy myself a new pair of shoes :D I need them for my family dinner on Friday night. I have the outfit but nothing for my feet :rotfl:

Best go get some work done

    Much love X
    Need to start again :o

Fay - I don't understand golf, but think that is what everyone on here refers to as a Spike Millagan or something
Don't worry - just join me in starting my new chase after Molly ..... I am going to get closer this time ! Look out Molly - here I come :D
(Hope I can still be as determined at 6.30 tonight )

I have just got Mrs BHB to tip away all the remaining beer in the house - as an indication of my mood this morning :D

I hope I can go with it and not cave in.

Yup me is definately all or nothing - put on all the weight I lost as well - heads in planet stupid at the moment - purse in desk already :)

Thanks for caring :) on the postive note - (if there is one) is that I didn't buy a bottle of wine - I knew I'd feel worse - so only bought 'enough'. Molly I know you are so right. Thanks dear xx

BHB you do make me giggle - I did like Spike Milligan very much - but I dont think he played golf.

    Morning all

Just taken me 20 minutes just to catch up properly from yesterday afternoon!! Now I can't remember what anyone said

YM, please notch me up for 1/30 ta :)

Congratulations to everyone that notched up a day yesterday :)

FH, hope OH gets the email today and you can all relax :)

Fay, don't beat yourself up my dear, happens to the best of us ;), I'll save ya a seat next to me tonight :)

GP, I am amazed at your biking, you are doing amazingly! I am so jealous, I would love to take up biking, OH has a shiney new bike in the shed that's never been used  but I can't get up on to it but he does have an old one, that's hardly ever been used , I wonder if I can get on that one and whether it's safe to use  wished I had lovely countryside to cycle through like you, mind you if I cycled 81 miles I'd almost be in BHB's back garden :rotfl:

Caz, I hope you get on well at your meeting today. There is a really good book that you can read about the steps, called 'No Big Deal' by John Coats. The author John Coats was a counsellor that one of my neighbours went to for alcohol addiction when she went into rehab. He gave her a copy of his book and I borrowed it. It talks through his life, his addiction and how he ended up doing the steps, it explains each step and how he dealt with it. I read it on the train going to and from work and often found myself sat there with a tear in my eye or having a giggle! I would highly recommend it, it might give you an idea of what to expect at each step?

Right, forgotten everything else I was going to say.....

Oh yeah, budgie, no photos of the bread unfortunately....I was making a tester loaf as it's rubbish day today and if the thing didn't work properly then I was going to chuck it out! I bought a pack of bread mix from Mr T's for minimal hassle in case it didn't work, problem I had though is that my measuring jug's measurements have worn off :undecided although I know I'm good with my measurements due to years of drinking, guessing 325ml exactly was a little difficult. I think it needed slightly, just slightly, more water, it kneaded okay and rose well and cooked it but it smelt a bit too 'yeasty' so although I dumped the bread (well actually I'm saving it to feed the ducks later.....OH said he hopes it didn't sink to the bottom :undecided) I was pleased with the test run as it obviously worked okay, going to buy a new measuring jug today and give it another go tonight :) once I eventually make a successful loaf you can have a picture :)

Last day off work for me today :( time goes so fast, I remember last term when we worked out that it was 81 more get ups to the summer holidays  it's now 37 more get ups till October half term :undecided. I don't mind going back to work and getting back into the routine, but don't really want to go tomorrow and Friday as it's an inset day for staff so no kids, which means really boring, plus we've got a new head who wants loads of meetings with everyone, boring, boring, boring!

Right, better go and do something, gotta round up all the books to take back to the library today, then going to think of something nice to do for dinner that I can cook this afternoon to keep me out of the kitchen tonight

I'm sure there's been millions of posts since I started this, been typing on and off for about an hour :rotfl:

    I've saved £14.79 on booze I haven't drunk since I started this on 24th August:j!

Can't keep up with all the posts on here - the best thing is it's so open and positive well done to all those AFers in September, who can honestly say "I haven't had a drink this month"

To those that haven't managed it - today is a new day - don't beat yourself up, you're doing the hard part by admitting there's a problem that needs addressing and you're doing that by being on here:T:T!

    Keep smiling:D

    Hugs,
    Caz
    Hi all,

    Caz
    xxxxxxxxxx

    Cazz

Would you now like to be put down for 30 or keep it at 27 .

For those who did not stay AF last night try not to beat yourself up about it. New day and all that. Just oiling up the persuader ;). Anyhow unless you have pledged 30 days then you are allowed "Drink days "

To those that did....Well done :T
