Good morning everyone, I drank the best part of a bottle of wine last night, so I am still on 0/22.
I have been thinking about what GC said though, and its very true. I just need to figure out what I can do about it:rotfl:

Talking about dreams, I keep having the same one. I'm on holiday on my own, packing to come home and my stuff won't fit in the suitcase, I have tons of clothes and I'm panicking I'm going to miss the plane.
Everytime I get the clothes stuffed in, I do one last check and the draws are full again, with the kids school uniform so I know I can't leave it behind but it just won't fit in the case. Everytime I end up crying because I missed the plane. Weird!

I wonder what it means, probably that I'm a weirdo:rolleyes:

  • Jo - Thanks for the book tip. I've just ordered it from Amazon! A recommendation from you means it's definitely worth reading! :D.

You are right, your quantities of ingredients in the breadmaker do need to be exact (and temperatures right too, e.g. if the recipe says cold butter or warm water), otherwise the bread won't turn out properly.

Righto, off to do some work now. Have had a rather longer than anticipated break, ordering that book!

  • YM - oh eck, I've not got to grips with this pledging malarkey yet :p

I saw someone else's post saying 1/30, and because I was AF last night, I just put the same down for me  Sorry!

Please keep my 27 days as they are YM, so that's 1/27.

  • Morning all!

    1 for me please YM

Fay - Hey you, do not feel like you've failed. Did you drink a big bottle? No. Did you get paraletic? No. You were sensible. So I think you did very well!!

Cazza - well done on day one for this month! Oh and if you find your brain please could you see if mines lurking with it????

Jo - bread sounds, um...interesting. Careful where you lob it, think you can get arrested for killing ducks! Could have done with some of it a few years ago. When me and OH first moved in together, we got goldfish. When one died we had the wonderful idea of putting it in a box and giving it a burial in a lake. Only he floated......we looked very odd lobbing stones at this little box bobbing about in the middle of a lake!!!

Managed to surf through the bells last night. Am slowly sorting through things in my head. I'm forever swinging backwards and forwards in my head on various issues, always thinking I'm failing. Always giving up on something (whether its drinking, dieting , whatever.) I always seem to be het up about how poorly Piglet is treated by OH's side of the family. His other two kids always get tons more attention etc than Piglet. So I've come to a few conclusions.

    1) I don't want to give up drinking completely. I WANT to be a sensible drinker. I enjoy a glass of wine and I'm lying if I pretend otherwise. So I'm going for moderation in future.

    2) I WANT to lose weight. Doing ok so far and I'm going to stick with it. I'm doing it for ME and no-one else and that feels good!

    3) I am going to concentrate on Piglet. I've told OH he has to sort his other two's birthdays and christmases out and I will sort Piglet. That may seem a bit cruel and selfish but, to be honest, Piglet always dips out in that respect. The other two are always worried about first (and with an extended family they get LOTS more than he does anyway). OH always leaves it to the last minute to get thier presents and my Dad always ends up bailing us out. No more. I'm ebaying like mad to raise money for Piglets birthday at the moment (four days before christmas - good timing THAT was Miss P!)

    4) I'm going to get a bit of a life - got in touch with my friend and we are going out once a month in future. Doesn't have to be expensive, her OH doesn't drink and offers to drive me home on the rare occasions we DO go out.

So, I'm feeling a bit more cheerful this morning. Sorry to ramble on but I have nowhere else to do it!! And I know you lot don't mind ;). Feel good for getting it all out.

    Miss P
    xx
