  • Morning all

14 days AF now, can't remember when last had an entirely AF bank holiday but am starting to waver. Big problem yesterday when 'the chap' (am allergic to saying 'OH' or 'BF', *shudder*. Commitment issues, moi?) wanted me to go to the pub with him and was then v disappointed that I wasn't drinking and tried to make me have a pint as penance for something hurtful that I did to him on Sunday (for which I had already apologised and made amends). He knows I'm not drinking at the moment but he thinks I don't have a problem with alcohol and am ruining his fun. Is that fair? I didn't cave, but it rather put a downer on what had been a nice day together. I think it's going to be difficult on an ongoing basis. What does one do?

He did tell me a good joke tho':

    Q Why did Nivea cream?
    A 'Cos Max Factor

    Sorry :o,

    HS

    Well done!!:T:T:T:T

You didn't cave in and that must've been really difficult (especially at the pub)!!

You just need to tell him you're not drinking at the moment and that's that - if he's half decent he'll support you and be thankful you're not nagging him to stop too :rotfl:!

 I'm quite outraged by that joke.:D:rotfl:

The amount of drink I have in the house at the moment is my famous half a bottle of white wine in the fridge.

I never keep alcohol in the house to cook with really like sherry or anything, I probably would end up drinking that if I was desperate and make myself ill.:p

As much as I do love a Bitburger, I am not going to replace beer with fake beer, I think maybe that's been previous downfalls for me....It leads me into a false sense of security and makes me feel like I'm missing summat

I'm 'quietly' confident about tonight, looking forward to the BB eviction and Enders and my magazines :D

An eviction? It's only Tuesday  I must admit I've lost track now that Marcus has gone. I liked him in a really irritating stubborn way :D

Mr FH phoned half hour ago to say that nobody in the office is picking up the phone  He's going to try at 2pm after everyone should be back from lunch. I really, really hope this doesn't drag on for another day. I can't stand it!
    Need to start again :o

HS, does your 'chap' drink alot? Reason I say this is because it's an addicts nature to get people that are abstaining back in the fold. This is very true with smokers, when ever you give up smoking you'll always find smoking 'friends' blowing smoke in your face and saying 'are you sure you don't want one?'. And it's true with drinkers, just like you've experienced, when you say you're not drinking we feel as though we need an excuse like 'I'm on antibiotics' or 'I'm driving' or 'I'm pregnant' () to stop people asking why you're not drinking and why you shouldn't 'just have the one'.

Just wondered, didn't want to pry (well actually I did :D).

Well done for the strong resolve, with that sort of resolve you can achieve anything

    Yeah, tonight :D:D

It was really funny last night cos they sat them all down and showed previous nominations and really got their backs up when they realised who had nominated them and why. Particually Siavash, cos he said he'd only nominated Lisa 3 times but it was actually 6 :rotfl:

They then called them in for nominations again after that. Lisa and David are now complete outcasts, it was so funny.

Charlie refused to nominate so that meant he's automatically up, David and Lisa did nominate which p!ssed everyone off, Roddy voted cos he was p!ssed off with D & L and Sophie and Siavash didn't vote so go up which means that they are all up anyway.

GET LISA OUT!!!! GET LISA OUT!!! :D:D:D

She has shown her true colours to the other housemates since she didn't think they would have to nominate anymore.

Apologies to those not into BB :D
