  • Mollypolly,

I am actually doing a PAD to the HMRC . Although I must admit it has only been £5 a day for the last week or so ..... But as they say, every little helps.

That sounds like a good idea.I was trying to do £100 per week but it only lasted for two weeks:cool:
Maybe I will try £5 a day....as you say ...every bit helps.
Just hope it doesn't bring me to their attention too quickly though;):D
Thanks for that.....will do one now.

Just had a look at bank account and done £10.If I could do that every day that would be £70 per week which would be great.
Going to give this a good shot now and hope they don't threaten me with anything for a while.
    Thanks again 40SM

I know what you mean but my thinking is its better they have £5 a day rather nothing. I used to try and pay £100 a week in 1 hit but like you it didn't happen more than once:o I don't notice the £5 a day so much ;)

Right I am off to a clients to do a VATreturn then into the office later. I will catch up with you all later as I am on my own in the office so as I have loads of work to do I will just pop on here for a break:rolleyes:

    Catch you later.

Challenge tonight is to watch the football without a beer. This really shouldn't be hard, as have purposely not invited anyone round to watch it with me (does everyone else associate beer with football and TV, or is this a worrying sign?)

Hi - been on DFW for a while now and am getting things on track with budgeting etc. - gone from being too scared to look at my bank account and outgoings to being a bit obsessive about where every penny goes, so that's good!

I've realised while going through the process that one of the areas I really need to cut down on is alchohol - to be honest I've been having a drink every night and it's got to stop because: -

1/ It costs me around £80per month!
2/ It's really bad for me!
3/ I really need to lose weight
4/ I want to stick around for my kids!

Now, I'm not proposing giving up alchohol altogether as I know where my problem lies (drinkin every night) what I really want to do is stop drinking in the week, so I have 4 alchohol free days a week (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs) - this would cut my alchohol down by over 50% and I'm sure I'll feel better, lose weight and have more money!

I've read quite a few posts on here but there are so many I can't possibly get through them all...!

So - can you help me? I would like to make a pledge etc. but not sure how it works on here.

Really hoping I can get some help and support on here as I have done elsewhere on DFW.......
Amount saved by cutting down on  since 24/08/2009....... :j£81.78:j

Marthasdad. I keep my consumption diary on here, as it makes me realise what I am drinking.
The only pledge you can make is to yourself, it's just you get the ability to monitor it, and all the moreal support on here.
