Who's going to join me in an AF Monday???

    Me too please!!!

    Morning all

I'm back and posting from the laptop  was about to post yesterday morning then discovered I had a leak through the ceiling from the water tank in the loft, so had to find a plumber and get that fixed  now waiting for the damp ceiling to dry, I was meant to be painting it today  plumber reckons it'd been dripping for some time but only just soaked through. Bloomin typical situation to have after getting back from holiday, exhausted and wanting to rest

Anyway, all fixed now and about to embark on a new health kick (), my drinking has been crap, managed an amazing total of 1 AFD on holiday :undecided then couldn't get out of holiday mode (or should I say 'normal' mode when I got back so feel a bit carp this morning. I don't plan to drink tonight so lets hope that nothing untoward happens......

WB, glad you had a good holiday and birthday :)

Budge, you won't read this till you get back, but hope you have an amazing trip, you never did say which day you're going to Brick Lane, were you scared we'd all turn up :rotfl: ;)

Strops, good to have you back, don't worry I've had a crap July and August too, plan to redeem myself next month

Caz, well done to you :)

Everyone else, haven't got time to name cos I gotta go out, it's just took me an hour to read the last week's worth of posts as I only skimmed it from my phone on holiday

Speak to you all later :)

    xx

  • Hellooooo

Sorry for not being around over the weekend. Being the first one in a while with Mr FH we were never in! Family commitments then friends bbq yesterday. It peed down, a shame. Plus despite wine flowing I didn't have any :D

But.....that's the only time I've been 'good' over the past 4 days :o The box in the fridge is nearly empty so that says it all really. Plus Mr FH bought me some bottles of Pear Cider. So had a couple of those.

I do plan to be on my best behaviour this week though. I feel tired to be honest. Obviously haven't slept particularly well, so just feel a little drained.

I've tried to catch up as much as possible but I'm at work and have so much to do today it's scary.

One thing I do remember is the talking about dancing. I HATE dancing with a passion. Always have. I was the one buying more drinks at the bar if my friends decided to dance. I was at a Hen weekend a year or so ago. We arrived at this place totally sober and most of the girls went straight on to the dancefloor  Thankfully a good friend looked at me with amazement and started to laugh saying "I need wine first" I just don't get the whole let your hair down and dance the night away concept. The only dancing that I will tolerate is the Scottish kind at weddings :D

Really must go but will try and come back in later.

    Much love X
    Need to start again :o

    Yes I did

Don't worry, I'll be trying my best :)

I'm still totally exhausted from the holiday, feel like I could sleep for a week. The kids were totally full on, weather was so hot and as OH doesn't drive I had to drive everywhere every day so don't feel I got a break. Got very p!ssed off on a couple of ocassions when OH went to watch the football or the cricket or like when we took the kids to a nice pub on Friday lunchtime and he had a JD & coke and I couldn't cos I was driving. Then when we were back at the caravan and I suggested going out to the club thing for a drink and he said he didn't fancy it, he said it's only cos you want to drink beer (which wasn't 'entirely' true :o) but inside my head I was irrationally v. irritated when I couldn't drink when I wanted to drink!

The shop shut at 8pm and didn't sell any alcohol apart from a few bottles of spirits behind the counter, no bottles of wine or cans of lager. So unless I went in the clubhouse and spent £4 on a pint of Carlsberg (!!!!!) then I had no way of drinking. And so due to this, although I did drink everyday bar one, I didn't drink half as much as I normally would've as for the 4 of us we didn't get much change out of a tenner for a round
