    Well 1st AF night/day for a while....slept better than I thought! Feelfresh/clear-headed but tired (a bit!)...

Only problem this am is that my right foot is painfull...strech it & do that horrible 'click' thing during the night....don't know if its trapped nerve, muscle strain???! Had it before & it goes away in 3 days or so. Have had gout before (oh the joys of alcohol!) but gout is a different pain...swelling & tenderness-had it on knee & big toe! Can't see any/much swelling...seems to be my ankle?? By the way, 3 x 500mg+quertecin & 3 x celery seed tablets seem to keep gout away!

Aiming for a good few more AF DAYS this week!
  • A stunning day here and I went for a long walk on my superb SSSI beach to look for scary sea monsters.:D

When I got back I really, really, really wanted an ice cold beer........................

but had to setlle for Dandelion & Burdock with ice cubes.

Well done on the D&B - no scary sea monsters - that's a shame - we have lots :rotfl:

    Morning everyone :).

Nice one, DEBTMONKEY1A & Fay! I noticed a few aches and pains when I first stopped, but I think it's partly your body readjusting to dealing with things on it's own without booze anaesthetising them for you. Now, I feel much better all round, and my sleep is starting to get better and fuller as well.

I managed another AF night. I've decided to not get hooked on ginger beer, which I was starting to do, and to only allow myself to drink it a couple of days a week (I don't want to replace one habit with another, however benign it may be in comparison.) However, I've also started drinking Jasmine tea, as it's got a sort of scented bitterness, which is quite comforting.

    Good morning everyone

Hope we are all bright-eyed and bushy tailed today and full of new resolve after a pants few days for some of us??

I have an easier week this week so am feeling more relaxed. Last week was a really busy week with one reason or another and I felt wound up by the end of the week.

Cake decorating lesson today :T. Can't say as I'm the most artistic person in the world but I am enthusiastic:p. Me and my Mum are making a cake for my Brothers birthday in two weeks time - shall post a picture of it when we've done it.

Well, off to bath Piglet. He says he wants one bubble in his bath..:rotfl:

    Have good Monday Mornings everyone!

    Miss P
    xx

P.s Diet going well despite my mulligan at the weekend! Hopped on the exercise bike yesterday to "earn" the calories I had wasted on wine! Weigh-day is Thursday...can't wait!

Don't know why I'm so perky this morning (attitude-wise only unfortunately, other parts of my anatomy are sadly less than perky, ha haaaaaaaa!) but I am.

Couldn't get to sleep for AGES last night. I read for a couple of hours, no caffeine before bed, but as soon as I switched off the light, my brain suddenly switched itself on and I started worrying about work this week - bah. FINALLY got to sleep and awoke this morning distinctly groggy and tired. But I now feel full of beans, so I'm not complaining! :D

Got a text from my work colleague at 8am this morning - she's VERY rough after a whole day boozing in the sunshine and she said I'll have to help her at work as she can hardly get out of bed. It was nice to be reminded that I actually feel GOOD this morning - no sickie tum, no banging head, no heartburn, no mouth that feels as dry as a nun's gusset......... :p

Who's going to join me in an AF Monday??? :A

    Hugs,

All this talk about music made me remember another great plus about being AF...I am an eighties child and I NO LONGER JUMP UP LIKE AN IDIOT BELEIVING I CAN DANCE EVERY TIME AN OLD 'CLASSIC' COMES ON....can't believe how I used to think I was such a groover when drunk, because I know for a fact I CAN'T dance, I've seen the video evidence from weddings etc...and a complete berk I looked too...thank goodness that shame is now spared me.

    .

Oh Eselt !:rotfl::rotfl: This made me laugh so much:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: ..... I think I may have seen you at a few weddings in the past....only joking... probably my own reflection in the mirror:rotfl::o

    Good to hear from you.

    RA ,

My admiration for you never stops. Being alcohol free is one thing BUT drinking Dandelion & Burdock is a totally different ball game...... must take lots of willpower... IT TASTES YUCK:eek::rotfl::rotfl:

Thursday - did another alcohol free day.
Friday night went out with the lads ... had at least 7 pints, possibly more.
Saturday 3 pints and a bottle of red
    Sunday, one beer

This week the aim is to be dry until Friday...
