With your taste in music you would probably get on well with my DH (he is 50 Next yr ) and also has bros & sisters 8- 10 Yrs older than him. Evening guys & gals!

I've stayed AF today so I am very pleased with myself, as I was craving a drink soooo badly at 5pm-ish, I think because I was feeling bored if I'm honest and also because it was "that" time of day, when my boozing bells begin to ring and ring. :eek:

I am going to my usual AA meeting tomorrow (I don't know why I phrased it like that, as I've only been to it twice!) which I am looking forward to. Shall be 'fessing up about Friday's boozing and no doubt will come home with lots of wise words from various people - which I definitely need. :rolleyes:

Pricey Hugs sweetheart and well done to your DD on her exam results :T re: the history paper, when my Ds sat his Gcse's the whole of the history year did not achieve any of their predicted grades, not even my Ds friend who went onto Camberidge. So the School appealed against all of the marks for the year, now I am sorry I can't remember which order it was but they sent: originals/copies when it should of been the other way around. Because of this error the papers were not elligible to be remarked. It only happened in the history papers though, makes you think if its happened again But very well done to her and of course you, I remember the stress also :eek: (Seems along time ago now though). I and Mr BB have been to the therapist today, and planned a nice relaxing day. But as soon as we got in the phone rang and my nephew has had a puncture and left his bike on some country lane with the ignition key in :eek: so Mr BB has gone to retrieve it, that is if it is still there? So thats the relaxation bit stuffed so to speak. Still off to see my Ds tomorrow and I CAN'T WAIT :j

Yes, I'm another piggy! We lived in NZ for a long time, and I like pigs ... it's been my internet name for a long time.

Tonight's not gone too badly - wasn't expecting an AF day, but so far have had 1 g&t and 1 glass rather nice shiraz, the second is sat by my side but it's time to put the kids to bed.

I was reading the Alan Carr book earlier, not finished it yet. Quite thought provoking - I thought what he said about doctors was very good, they aren't really very helpful at all. Having said that, I've never actually met mine. Unfortunately, when OH spoke to her about his own drinking once (we share our bad habits), she told him I really should go and see her because there was a risk the children would be taken into care because of MY drinking. Ah, really supportive and a bit sexist to boot. The children, of course, are fine and well looked after. As a result, I have NEVER been to the doctor in the three years we've been living here.
