But succesfully staved of the thought of 'just getting a small bottle of vodka' ...funnily enough urge on a % scale only 30% & diminishing already....already feeling calmer!
bearing in mind I've been having a lot nightly last few days I'M CHUFFED!
Sleep will probably be sh*t tonight but I'll be clear headed tomorrow.
Good luck all!0 -
Think I may join in if I may. OH and I are terrible old boozers (always an occasion isn't there?). But now we are starting on a dmp and trying to lose weight too it is becoming clearer that the drinking really has to decrease.
Just managed to dissuade OH from buying some beers "because I'm tired". So feeling good about exercising a little self control for once. Lets hope we can keep this up for at least 3 or 4 days eh?
It's the first month of dmp so think OH is going to soon realise that our new budget is not going to extend to Jack Daniels and vodka every time we are bored.
It would be nice to avoid liver disease and all sorts of other nasties too.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
Hi all
Haven't been at all AF but did manage 2 NSD so that's kind of a resultAnd I've also got a plan in place to start clearing my overdraft little by little so feeling pretty pleased with things
And can I just say a big thanks to Gromit for this post:gromit2303 wrote: »40SM, it is tho, isnt it. It's the only thing so far thats actually encouraged me to do anything about my drinking. Nothing my OH or any friends would say would have made a difference. It's you guys on here, being able to talk about it openly, and knowing you are not being judged and that there are plenty more like us. xx:j
